discuss Frustrating payment with Afternic

Hi, I sold a domain through Afternic over a month ago. The domain was transferred to the buyer immediately, and the sale was marked as complete, yet there’s still no payment in sight. Like I’ve sent several emails and even tried calling, but I’m just not getting any answers. Seriously, this is so frustrating. I honestly don't know when, or if, I’ll ever get paid. Has anyone else dealt with this? How did you resolve it when they weren’t providing any updates? I’m really regretting using Afternic for my domain sales. Can anyone suggest a better alternative to Afternic? Sedo?

I haven't personally dealt with a delay like that, so I can't really help on that front... but one alternative to the usual marketplaces is setting up your own landing pages, and dealing directly with the buyers. Wrap the sales up through a service like escrow.com to help ensure all goes well.

Sure... it's a little more leg work than throwing a portfolio on sedo/afternic etc... but it might be worth it if the platforms you're currently using are delaying payment and then being unresponsive about it.

I know someone facing this issue too but his account was blocked (no idea why) - I am curious what is your payout method? Is it some digital bank like wise? That could be an issue.

Also give afternic a call, their call support is way way better.

I’ve opted for Local Bank Transfer, and I’ve checked that everything’s set up right.

Check to make sure you have your tax info up to date under Settings / Payment Settings / Page#3 in the admin after you entered your banking info
