Hi, new here.

I sold a domain through Afternic about 30 days ago. The sale went through, and the domain was transferred to the buyer almost immediately. Everything on my end is done (payee account, tax info, etc.) - but I still haven’t been paid. I’ve followed up with their support multiple times and keep getting generic responses like "we’re looking into it". No updates, no ETA, nothing concrete. I understand occasional delays happen, but a full month feels excessive - especially when the transfer is already complete.

This is my first time dealing with Afternic, so I’m not sure if this is normal or if something’s wrong. How long your recent payouts from Afternic have taken? Any tips on how to escalate this internally?

Appreciate any insight or advice. It’s definitely been a frustrating start.

TIA!

In my case, a domain that I sold with Fast Transfer and that has not been transferred since last week, I am getting the same response: “we’re looking into it". Either they have few employees or they are simply not interested.

That is too long. Most of my sales pay in a few days. Try posting in this thread and tagging GoDaddy

Afternic is a good market but they need to train people for communication with their customers.
I had many sales with them. Some are good and some having trouble.
Waiting for them to answer or solve the issues is a big problem.

Nah, waiting over 30 days for a payout from Afternic definitely isn’t the norm - most folks see their money within 5 to 15 business days after the domain transfer goes through. That said, you’re not the only one stuck in limbo. Others have hit similar delays, often thanks to manual reviews, tax verification hangups, or the occasional backend hiccup.

The real kicker? The radio silence or canned replies. That’s not how it’s supposed to go, and yeah, it’s totally frustrating. If you’re getting nothing but copy-paste answers, try pushing a bit harder - hit up GoDaddy support directly or even call them out on Twitter/X by tagging @Afternic or @GoDaddy. A few sellers have actually gotten results that way.

@GoDaddy

I think this deserves a response.

Try sending an email to [email protected]

That used to be the go-to address for sales support. I would never call phone support, always a waste of time and sanity.

Yeah, waiting over 30 days for a payout from Afternic is definitely not typical — most domain sellers I know usually get paid within 5 to 15 business days once the transfer clears. That said, you're not alone. I’ve seen a few folks run into the same issue, especially when manual reviews or tax documentation delays are involved.

What really gets to people is the lack of clear communication — just boilerplate responses that don’t address the actual problem. If that’s happening, definitely escalate. Reaching out to @Afternic or @GoDaddy on Twitter/X has actually nudged things forward for a few sellers.

Also, slightly unrelated but relevant to folks managing their time across different regions — I recently came across a really handy Namaz timing tool that syncs prayer schedules based on location. Super helpful for staying on track during busy workdays, especially when you're juggling international platforms like Afternic.
