I'm curious to know how to win over a Moderator to the point they allow you get away with almost anything, Allowing selective members to break the rules without any punishment whatsoever, Insulting and degrading whoever they wish. And when the victims do the same in return, posting almost the exact same words as the instigator, it is THEY and only they who receive infractions or bans.

"Selective Moderation" is what it is, Issuing infractions based on WHO is delivering them.

Your thoughts.

Did you go to high-school? Same thing.

You have to look at the overall interaction. Some people can break all the rules in one thread because they help in other threads. Some people are just more popular.

At the "other" forum? Well it's all based on who you know, isn't it. If you know a DICK..er or two.. that helps, obviously. Here? I don't think there are any rules anymore..lol

I feel odd answering this because I know you find the way some of us here behave as weird - but it's all just nonsense really.

Your right, this is a big part of it, which really amounts to favoritism which in turn amounts to resentment by members who are not receiving equal treatment, Who does this hurt? The FORUM.

When you allow outright slander, racist and bigoted comments to go un punished because it's against someone you don't particularly like, your encouraging more bad behavior and bringing your forum down to a new level.

And Weird is OK in my book, I'm OK with that. What I see here is TAME compared to what I see there, It's all in the moderation, you enforce the rules across the board and everyone's knows where the line is drawn, Not so over there where vicious personal attacks are allowed according to WHO they are against.

Seriously, why would you want to intentionally break the rules? Others see it and it does not reflect highly on you. Sure, we all screw up because let's face it we're on more than 1 forum each with separate rules but we try and obey by them.
