The latest report from eMarketer.com makes fantastic reading for the domaining industry. Advertising was $12.5 billion in 2005 and the forecast for last year, which they estimated would be $16.4 billion has had to be increased by $400 million to $16.8 billion. The forecast for 2011 now stands at a whooping $36.5 billion, and this is by no means the highest estimate of online advertising spending by the analysts, some put the projected 2011 levels in excess of $40 billion.

"TheBaldOne" ... gotta love when someone fearlessly embraces it, :hehe:

On increased ad revenue: This, among other things, shows how prolific the internet is becoming in everyday life. Almost anything can be digitized and then migrates to the internet. Ad revenue has to follow the eyeballs and they are online. Directly (and indirectly) the domain industry is profiting from the phenomenon.
