Well I am not so much into domains now, I have a few portfolios that I maintain, well as this story will show perhaps that should be 'try to maintain'.
I am sure we all receive emails asking us if we would like to buy a domain name because we own a similar domain. Well I received one the other week and ignored it, but this evening something just clicked in my brain that said 'hang on, I already own that domain!'
A quick check of my domains and sure there it was - but as an expired domain, unfortunately by this time it had gone to 'registry recoverable' as had another domain (actually the two domains are the singular and plural). Of course I have renewed them immediately, yes it has cost me a few silver coins more, but if it had not been for me being 'spammed' as to whether I would like to buy a domain name I 'thought' I still owned then I would have lost both of them. YIKES!!!!!!
Tonight I am a happy bunny, those domains form part of my retirement portfolio, and I would have been swearing forever and a day if I had lost them. Thank you to the spammers I didn't.
