Hi.

I received an email about a domain of mine that is for sale. It says they are interested in buying my domain. They then say "Let us know your price."

How do I reply to this?

I would rather hear what their offer is first. I would hate to name my price and have it way too low, and find out later I could have got a lot more for it.

First time post. Apologies if this topic has been beaten to death already, and if I posted in the wrong forum.

Thanks.

Well you can get it apprised here at this forum (so you get the basic idea of how much can you get from it). But if they are company and domain is somehow related to their products, services ,... they will probably pay more than resellers. So it depends on quality of domain as well. And always post price that is higher than your expectations cause they will negotiate with you.

watch out for scams if you reply with an offer and they ask you to get it appraised at a company they suggest then dont bother this is a known scam.

Ask them nicely to make you a reasonable offer and go from there!.
As pointed out by "redshift", don't fall for scam where the buyer suggests he would like to have the domain appraised bu a company he suggests, that is one of the oldest scams in the domain world.

Good Call.

After doing a little research it seems this is a scam. There is a thread on it over here:

I have also received those emails over the last couple of years, it is always a good idea to google the email name and check these forums when you receive those type of unsolicted emails
