Finding out who snapped it

I think I already know the answer to this, but is there any way to find out who managed to snap (backorder) a name away from me that expired today?

Essentially I need to wait 24 hours to check the whois don't I? Or is there any way faster? I can't find a published list of successful snaps on any of the major services... oh well.

I'm not quite sure what your looking for. Did you have the snap on the domain, then let the snap off, and someone else got the snap?.

If you had the snap on the domain, and the domain dropped today, then you should get an email sometime today if you got the domain. As for the whois, it will probably remain on PENDINGDELETE until tomorrow.

Or, if the domain has only expired, then the domain won't drop for a couple months.

Or do you mean you let a domain expire, and someone put a snapback on it?.

Sorry no I meant I was trying to snag a domain that was being deleted today.

I failed to snap it, and I want to know which service did and who.

But I think I will have to wait 12-24 hours and check the whois then.

I find BuyDomains whois updates faster than most.
