I can see Sedo has search functionality. So as an example, let's say an architectural company wants to find a name with architect in it. They can go to Sedo search and search for domains with that term. Whether they know of Sedo is another issue - but at least it exists. https://sedo.com/search/?language=us&keyword=architect

On Dan/Afternic/GoDaddy - is there any way for an end user to search for names with a keyword? The only search functionality I can find on GD is to type a keyword; e.g., "architect" and it shows TLDs with that specific keyword. But it doesn't show coolarchitect.com, hiparchitect.com, etc, like it does on Sedo. Is there any way for end users to search terms with a keyword in them (like on Sedo)?

Or do they have to come up with the names on their own and type them in?

I just wonder how old I'm going to have to grow before reality dawns on the domain industry and someone comes along with the game changer,
Hi

undeveloped, unireg, parked, voodoo, namedrive, etc... all those changed the game for me.
but yeah, where are they now?

then they will be acquired by Godaddy and mothballed and exterminated.

agree ^^

imo....

The end user might be searching a catchy synonymous for architect, even though he sees many tlds with exact term architect. Leaving aside 3l, 4l & highly brandable names which may cost a fortune for small scale to medium scale end user, he may search for a while on GD and then finally end up registering his initials followed by the keyword or make up some random two word domain in GD search path and go on changing with permutation combination till it shows available and then register it. Then what about domainers whose names
didn't show up in the search results of the registrar where he has registered his domains and where the end user was looking for a suitable name for his business. That I feel is unfair on the part of the registrar. When searching for a domain with a keyword the registrar should throw up all the names registered with it for that keyword and synonymical terms even if it runs in 50 pages. With such feature and approach by registrar, more domain investors can expect a sale.
