i just picked up a domain and believe it is banned in google. It appears in yahoo however.. the domain expired about 6 months ago and I picked it up yesterday from godaddy. I've read that when a domain expires it gets banned in google. Is this true? If so, how can the ban be lifted?

EDIT: Oops! I replyed instead of making a new topic, very sorry guys...

I got an email from NameCheap today, it's telling me my domain "datacrypnet.com" expires today...and would I like to renew it.

Now, I'm posting here because I never even knew i had this domain and have no intention of renewing. If anyone wants it, feel free.

I've just done a search for two of my for sale domains that were previously expired.

OK, it might be that things are different between cctlds & gtlds, but it doesn't look to me like there's a deliberate ban. It might just be that Google clears out pages from unregistered domains faster than Yahoo does, or maybe the previous domain owner did things that caused Google to ban them from the index.

Google doesn't ban expired domains, just set their PR to 0.
