got notification today that one of the domains i pre-regged in the sunrise 2 period (with very sketchy claims to the name in question) is now ready for pre-payment....

Now the name ive ordered is a pretty generic (and by rights i would guess a valuable) name but its quite a gamble: -

*Total amount due: 127.60 Euro*

This application fee has to be paid in full for the validation of your sunrise application through Eurid/PWC.

The application fee is *non-refundable* and is due, even if the application is rejected by the Validation Agents. No discounts available.

:o Where did you pre-registered it? 128Euro for one domain only?
I hope you're not going to pay for it, unless you have some trademarks on that name. If you haven't send proof of your trademarks, or if you don't plan to send any kind of paper, it's sure 100% that your application will be rejected (and it's sure that the people who you register with has earned 128euros..).

A registration in this 2nd sunrise period is allowed only to companies with proofs of trademark and the fee states around 59 Euros per domain.

The real registration period open to every european citizen will be open not before then 6th April, and the fees should be about 19 euros.

That is steep, but you have to weigh up how much you need the domain, if it is a genric domain name, then you can bet that the domain name will be pre-regged everywhere else, it's just a case of how confident you are in the company that is going to be attempting to catch the domain name for you
