Hello!

I'm sure that you have heard from the latest reports and posts here that the results for the Sunrise I applications for the .EU domains are beginning to flood in... and just in time for 2nd pile of domains to arrive and allow people to get the names they should rightly own (in other words, have decided they want a name, so they have INVENTED a right)

The Sunrise II starts 7/02/2006 11AM CET!

I personally don't have the money to waste my money at having a slight CHANCE of getting a name I want, so I'm waiting for the massive rush on the 7th April...

So boys and girls, Not long to go now until the registry is fully up and running, and .EU activation and trading begins.

I can't wait! .EU... finally our own domain extension. I see the .EU domains as a start of something really good for me. It is a domain extension that I can finally register without being "sneaky" and feel good because it's part of the .EU. With any luck, the .EU extension will become as powerful as the .COM and .CO.UK extensions and will gain alot of worth.

I wish you all the best at catching the domain names, and I hope you make a mint in the very near future!

:)

Before .infos came out I put in many requests with different registrars and spent a bit of money pre-registering. Yet on landrush I got no top names and only a handful of decent names which some people appraised on boards as being worth reg fee. With .eu during sunrise one and two all the good names would have gone, for example, a Dutch holder of a national trademark ne&ws got news.eu. Another trademark holder for domain@name got domainname.eu. The high-rolling cybersquatters who are spending fortunes on trademarks are still putting in requests for names everyday. For example, when they see an application for a decent name has been rejected they put in their own application. There will be very few decent .eu names left on 7/4/06 and there will be intense competition for those few names so the chances of getting anything worthwhile are less than for .info. Maybe the best anyone can hope for is to grab a few three-letter .eus.
