Hi
I recently ran an estibot appraisal on one of my domains, cheapticketsrussia.com and it came up with $220,000.
After slapping myself around the face a few times, I thought, well I realise that free appraisal tools can sometimes suck, but estibot is normally pretty good.
I typed the name in with spaces and then with Capitals as advised, both times came up with $220,000.
The name has been around since Nov 2005.
Any ideas on why the valuation is so high
Thanks Pete

I've tried it on estibot, and it says $90...

I think its because of the WT/day - 4262 and the high value keywords :)

But i wouldnt bet on it would get sold that high in real life :)

Maybe at best high $xxx if you get the right end-user

If you type the domain in with no spaces it says $90, but just underneath the submission box it tells you to leave spaces or capitalise so that it helps to determine each word in the name. but I agee that $220,000 is way too high
100 grand anybody? :hehe:

I would have to agree, the $220,000 estimation is quite high, I don't think an end user would pay this much for it, unless of course, you develop it into a site, than I think you'll have a more valuable domain name.

I thought the same about Russia kicking off against the West. I've got a valuable domain but Putin won't sell us any tickets!
Thanks everybody for your views

It has good keywords but def. not a xxx,xxx domain as is.

Don't depend on estibot, it is unreliable and inaccurate :) why would you want a stupid program to value your domain name anyways? it is not the program that buys the domains it is the buyer and the market.

Use namebio to appraise your domain yourself by educating yourslf.

I am puzzled by the Word Tracker score. There is no way "Cheap Tickets Russia" really has a Word Tracker of 4200/day.

Google Keyword tool shows the following

Exact - 140 searches/month
Broad - 1900 searches/month

I think the name is riding off of the keywords from CheapTickets.com
and this is why you're getting this high value.

Ooops! I take that back as I did a test. Actually it may be right.

"cheap tickets russia" although shows 13,600 it runs 43 ads a day at $1.94 max.

Word tracker is not accurate anymore... Non of my top 20 keywords in GA is listed in word tracker... There are around 1879 keywords used by my visitors last month and only 3% is listed in word tracker... and not in top 20 to 50...

If you live in a neighboring state, all you need to do is wait, and maybe soon you'll be a part of Russia, now there's a free ticket for you ;)

Anyway, it looks like Estibot is giving the wrong number of Wordtracker searches for this term, that's what's causing the over-valuation. Sorry about that - Estibot of course is far from perfect, but more often than not it puts generic dotcoms in the right ballpark - mistakes of this magnitude are not common.

It's definitely not a $xxx, xxx name. It's more of an $xxx name, given the right buyer. For a reseller, $xx
