It's still 8.49 for NP members. I just tried by logging in and using a dummy domain mysdkfsfda.com and it showed 8.49. In fact, I registered a domain two days ago and was also charged 8.49.

When I registered a new domain a few days ago, I paid 8.49. I have a small batch of domains ready to transfer to Epik and I just tried. It's also 8.49 when I was signed in already.

I think you need to send a quick note to cs asking them to identify your account as a NP member. I hope that will be the solution to that.

There is no other explanation. The pricing you are seeing should be different. You could even pm RM here I think. He will get it done. They might refund your overpayment.

BTW, I really enjoy your insights into the Chinese domain market. Hope you continue writing.

Unfortunately, no, it's for new registrations only.

How many .COs do you have that you'd like to transfer in. I might be able to cut a deal over volume.

how come prices vary so much accros registrars for .io? is it because some simply make profit than others, or is it because .io charges some more than others?

It's simply because the registry way of calculating discounts is based on number of domains under management. The more you have, the cheaper you can sell. Which is pretty harsh for newly accredited registrars, or for registrars who did not focus on this extension before.
