I just find this sooo odd!
I transfered some domain names thru Enom a few days ago from another Registrar (DotRegistrar).
Unfortunately 2 days later I still have not received any confirmation/transfer e-mail as they normaly do. (Which ticked me off a little but no biggy).
I sent an e-mail to Enom regarding the delay for I was a little concerned with the transfer (due to its close proximity to expiration dates. About 28 days). Enom replied back 2 days later stating that they had a glitch with their confirmation/auto-verification e-mails and advised me to cancel the transfer and reinstate it again and that a confirmation e-mail should be out in roughly 4 hours.
Per their advise, I did exactly what they instructed me to do. But this time I decided to also transfer my main business domains as well from another Registrar (BuyDomains) since they are also nearing expiration (40 days). Of course I unlocked all these domains prior to tranfer.
I was a bit worried with my main business domain for I use it as the whois contact for all the domains that I am tranfering from DotRegistrar. But I figured that I have control anyway, I would just transfer that main domain last. Enom stated that a confirmation e-mail would be sent out in 4 hours anyway... still plenty of time.
Well 30 hours later and STILL no confirmation e-mail on any of the transfers so I again sent another e-mail inquiry to Enom. Of course I did not expect to get a reply in less than 30 hours... (Is this a trend with Enom now?)
NOW the odd part! 9 hours after I sent that e-mail, I suddenly could not access my site. So I did some checking and I found out that Enom has just successfuly transfered my main domain without any confirmation/auto-verification e-mail whatsoever. WOW! How did this happen?
It is not Enom's fault (except for their lengthy glitch) but I think more of BuyDomains' for releasing my domain without my approval (I never got any e-mail). HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO ANYONE HERE? I'm just curious and eager to know.
Well the good part is that I STILL have my domain (now under Enom). But it is scary to know that I could have lost it easily. Now the only problem I have is that I will have to wait for the info to propagate and in the meantime I have no e-mail on this domain.
Now I hope Enom will take another 30 hours before they send me those e-mail.
