I just sent a test e-mail from the business account which I use to e-mail end users to my Hotmail. It went directly to the junk folder. The test e-mail did not even mention domain names.

What should I do? I don't want to have to create a new site just to rid myself of this problem.

By the way, the online e-mail client I am using is SquirrelMail. I never used to have this issue.

You will want to make sure reverse DNS is working properly. You will want to make sure your SPF record is set correctly, and you may want to check your IP address with some of the blacklist sites. It is very well possible your IP address could have been reported and red flagged by someone to a reputable blacklist which is flagging your IP as a spam producer in the past. If you want to check to see if your IP is blacklisted, you can go to http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx and test your IP there. They will run a check for your IP on 110 email blacklists.

Hmm...my IP address checked out fine. I think it's just Hotmail.

hotmail is crazy. i was having trouble with a domain i bought on the aftermarket - one that doesnt appear to have been used for anything before.. when email was sent from it would end up in hotmail Junk folder.. so i tested a brand new domain that ive owned and never used email or had a website.. same result.

doesnt happen with all domains but its kinda random
