Taking fees and commissions completely out of the picture guys which platform is giving you the most success?

Granted your own landing page is the best but many us don't have the skill to do so and in theory it shouldn't make a difference which of the above landing page platform one chooses as if your domain is good it will sell.

I've tried efty, Undeveloped and Uniregisty. Never tried Bodis.

I had my domains on Uniregisty from October 2016 to June 2017. (8 months)

I had 5 inquiries. All through their brokers. Got very close to selling two of them but we couldn't agree on price. Both of them were xxxx inquiries. I'm not upset as I'm happy to wait for inquiries down the line.

From March 2017 everything dramatically reduced in terms of inquiries and visitors. Alot of people felt this and I moved all my domains to efty.

So efty June 2017 November 2017

1 inquiry and lots of visitors (analytics is very good).

Came close to closing the inquiry to an end user but we couldn't come to terms. This was an inquiry for a domain that wasn't one of the inquiries from when I was at Uniregisty. However end user was lovely and everything was amicable.

Somewhere in November things got quiet at efty. I don't know if the captcha form became a hurdle for buyers.

So mid November or a little earlier I think I moved all my domains to Undeveloped. I don't know if it was their aggressive bot filtering but visitors reduced. I only tried them for 2 to 3 weeks. I had no inquiries.

So end of November to end of December I moved to Uniregistry again.

0 inquiries and again something was not quite right about them. Traffic was also lower. After a month I decided to leave and move to efty again.

I've been with efty for a few weeks again but no inquiries as of yet.

Now I'm thinking shall I try Bodis?

Would appreciate your advice

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Personally 90%+ of all of my offers have come direct over the last 15 years as that's where I point them.
Out of the 4 you listed...

Bodis=Free, have made sales here in the past.
Efty=Subscription fee and then no commissions, buyer info does get passed on.
Undeveloped=Wouldn't use as hides buyer info equaling blind negotiations plus losing sales commission.
Uniregistry=Buyer needs to sign up to send offer? Building their end user database for free which they can continue to market.

So to me the hosted solutions that make sense to test against each other that pass buyer information and don't require sign up at a third party...

https://domainmarketpro.com
https://www.efty.com
https://www.bodis.com
etc...

Capable of hosting your own script/plugin etc...

etc...

Advantage of doing your own is less chance of being grouped into adblocker filtering. Easy to filter when thousands of domains use the same nameservers.

My last sale produced 15k+ in profit, one before that 3k+ in profit. Both hand registered domains. This happens from me having name, email, phone, ip address and 15 years of negotiation tactics. So I list my domains at Sedo, Afternic, Uniregistry etc... but 90%+ of all of my sales have always come direct as that's where I point them. I'll continue to yell at people that direct their domain names to places where buyer information is hidden=blind negotiations, handing sales commissions away when your own domain traffic produced the buyers or that require a sign up to submit an offer as your just adding another end user to their database that they can market for life instead of your own.

I initially had domains pointed to Bodis (3 or 4 years ago when I was making a little from parking revenue). I then changed my Bodis pages to be just For-Sale Landing pages. I didn't really get many inquires from them, so I switched over to VooDoo for some parking and also listing a For Sale banner. Although Parking Revenue is way down, I still seem to get the most from VooDoo with an occasional Sales Inquiry.

Last year I wanted to create my own Market Place, and started using two different platforms -- Efty and ToughDomains. MY subscriptions are running out -- so I probably have to select one by the end of February (I am still deciding).

I received the most inquiries from Efty, but they have some minor quirks that I am hoping they resolve in their next release.

ToughDomains is interesting as it has several nice features. For instance, you can run your own "Ad Campaign" on the Landing pages. These could be actual revenue Ads (if you know how to do that). I basically use them to just point to my own market place. Another feature I like is that the Landing Pages can be RSS feeds from a list of popular sites -- and you can even add your own RSS Feed to the Landing Pages.

Both Efty and ToughDomains are subscription based -- so you have to figure out what makes sense based on your budget and goals.

Regards,
DN

I have or am trying out as many platforms as I can. I am currently using - SEDO, Bodis for parking, GD+AfterNic, EFTY, ToughDomains, UR, DUB.Io, think thats it. -VooDoo for some parking but got no results - but the names were awful so not on them hahahaha.

My 2 biggest sales in the last 6 months came from Who Is. They contacted me on the email I use only to reg names.

I wouldn't give up my platforms as I think they all have great value - just wanted to pass that info along. I will be removing privacy from many more names.

I think the platforms are important for building a trusted image or brand. I know I would like to see the name of the platform I'm about to give personal and financial info to. IMO it's the little things that will cause a buyer to move on or worry about being "scammed". And seeing one of these reputable companies in the mix is good for the buyer's peace of mind.

Thanks,
