I think ebay is getting better for domain sales, I recently watched a few domains that were not worth $10 and they went for $30-50+

What do you guys think?

Not quite sure. I have sold two domains on ebay myself, and they went for relatively low, much lower than I would of expected.

It isn't my preferred method to sell domains, that's for sure.

The fees on eBay can be a bit steep, especially if you add reserve and other options.

I think if you see too many going for more than they should .... You may be amidst some shill bidding 8-X - Domains have always Sold in the wholesale range on there and some folks can make a living this way if they don't mind the aggravation and time involved .... B-)

The only real, non-shill auctions I've seen on ebay that fetch a decent price for the domain are ones with a proven income stream, or sometimes even a site with the hope of income. Sometimes these auctions bring the crazies out of the woodwork.

I see opportunity here. Often times ebay has been a great place to pickup some decent domain names for a good price. Every once in a while you'll find domains that don't get picked up by many searches, they don't receive much traffic to the listing, and as a result they go for very reasonable prices.

I hear there are a lot of scams on EBay. I haven't been, but I have heard about it, so getting better in that field? Or getting better overall for customer satisfaction or the way the site runs?

I'm sure you mean the way domains sell on there.

I'm sure it is because sites that big can only get bigger... Not smaller, so I would assume an increase.

From a buyers point of view, I hate looking for domains on ebay. I typed in "3 letter .com" today and all I got was a load of s****y 3 character ones where the seller had deliberately also the word "letter" in the title as well as "character".

Well dont know if ebay is getting better as far as domain sales are concerned but i just tryed to list something for sale there and I got an error message telling me to check the announcements board - i went there and I saw nothing regarding a system maintance or something. I went to support and they couldnt give me a good reason why i couldnt list my item for sale..

well anyway .. let's hope it gets better.

all the best,

SW

That's what I type in as well, seems to work only 1 good listing in 100, the rest are 3 letter .us and 3 character .coms :td:

I heard the same, alot of scams on ebay...
Kinda shite to be honest.
Either way, I've noticed some really cheap but awesome domains there too.

Depends if you're willing to take the risk.
