I got ripped off by dynadot thru no fault of mine. This is the letter that I received

**We have removed the domain webhost1.com from your account due to the previous account holder paying with fraudulent funds.
Best Regards,Dynadot Staff**

What can I do about this? I paid for the domain name, I have the paypal letter to say that I paid for the domain name. They have no right to take something that I paid for. I am the innocent person in all of this, I have nothing to do with the person that I bought it from.

Any any help or ideas would be most appreciated. Its so frustrating as I dont know what to do.

Perhaps dynadot will give the domain back if you pay the registration fee

So you bought it from someone who registered it with Fraudulent funds just last month ?

I'd say they had the right to take it .. They (Dynadot) were never paid if that was the case. It wouldn't matter if you paid for it or not to another Party - The "seller" obtained it (assuming what you have stated here) with fraudulent funds.

You did nothing wrong, but they are not involved in dealings with your and the other party. They didn't get payment so they recover the name.
I think your best bet is to explain the situation but you will have to pay the reg fee.

Also, it may be useful to post the details about the scammer in the Warnings section.

Thanks for the info. Will prove helpful when I'm dealing with people next time.

About your problem, I'm sure dynadot would listen to your problems. Their support is good. But as the posters above me clarified, it may lead to you paying some extra cash.
