Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot back to its old tricks today not allowing .si contact and/or NS changes. So I transferred to Spaceship and voila, able to do everything in under a minute.

I can't get a fresh Auth code, I'm not going to use the automatically shown one, who knows when it was created

I used whatever was there (w/o a refresh) and it worked fine.

One other thing @Dynadot @Caleb Tweed - the transferred name still shows in my Dyna acct. I know you know about the issue - hopefully you can find a tech fix soon

Error incorrect Auth code. They giving fake Auth codes!!?
As per .si Registry, there is No lock period for .si domains. Is this even legal ?

Smash that "New Code" as many times as it takes. Or have fresh codes stopped working now?

Not able to generate new code, getting that regular error "connection to registry central servers busy!" most of the time.
They can not fix this connection issue even after 20 days!
I think Dynadot forgot their .si registry login details..! 🤔

Hey @Caleb Tweed !! You're back!

We were starting to worry about you. You may have forgotten, after all this time, that we have a pretty important thread going on HERE. If you weren't the Bestest Registrar Ever on NP, I would think you were voiding us. But I know @Dynadot would never do that to us!!

Please rejoin the conversation; the link is also in my signature if that helps. Lots of people are tagging you there. You must have missed all that.

Looking forward to your return. I'm sure many of us are. Thank you! :xf.smile:(y)

Guys, the .si zone is specific, So let's be honest, Dynadot isn't obligated to support it. Remember GoDaddy - how they wouldn't register domains in many zones and wouldn't let you list them for sale. Most people couldn't care less about the .si domain zone and the hype around it. For example, I have 0 domains in the .si zone, and I don't plan to register anything in that TLD.

Chat with Dynadot agent:

[Dynadot]: Looks like the domain ____.si was registered on 2026/09/25. Domains within 60 days after initial registration can not be transferred. This cannot be adjusted and is a part of ICANN policy.

[You]: That's not relevant to the .si TLD.

[Dynadot]: I am sorry but it is a part of ICANN policy. We have no control of it.

@Dynadot

I would appreciate some clarification regarding the recent QDA.com auction on Dynadot.

I participated in this auction and placed a bid of $21,000. The auction eventually ended at $26,015.59, with the highest bid placed by an account showing 0 previous purchases on Dynadot.

I previously raised this issue on X but received no response:

I do not know where the information that QDA .com sold for $5,655 came from. The auction ended with a final bid of more than $26,000. I participated in the Dynadot auction for this domain.

I did not wait until the end of the auction because the bids became extremely high and did…

$5,655 for a LLL .com 😱 🤯 someone got a weekend special three letter .com. Time to watch @usesav auctions again.

I have several specific questions:
  1. Did the winning bidder actually pay $26,015.59?
  2. Was QDA.com successfully awarded and transferred to that bidder at the stated price?
  3. On which platform was the auction ultimately finalized - Dynadot or one of its partners?
  4. Where did the information suggesting that QDA.com was sold for a significantly lower price come from? What was the actual final sale price?
If the domain was ultimately sold for less than $26,015.59 bid, I would like to understand why higher bid was not considered or given priority.

I currently maintain a balance of $115,424.25 in my Dynadot account, of which $5,060 is locked as deposits for my active auction bids.

I keep substantial funds with Dynadot specifically to participate in domain auctions, including auctions offered through your partners.

However, if Dynadot's auction partners prioritize bidders on their own platforms and do not give equal consideration to bids placed through Dynadot, what is the point of keeping over $115,000 deposited with Dynadot?

If that is how the system works, it would make far more sense for me to withdraw these funds to my own bank account and participate directly on your partners' auction platforms instead.

Why should I commit significant funds to Dynadot, including money that gets locked as auction deposits, if my bids may not compete on equal terms with bids placed directly on partner platforms?

I am not claiming that this is necessarily what happened with QDA.com. However, the conflicting information about the auction outcome raises legitimate questions about how these partnerships actually work.

Are Dynadot bids treated equally to bids placed directly on partner platforms? Can a domain be awarded on a partner's platform for less than a valid bid submitted through Dynadot?

As a customer who actively participates in auctions and keeps a substantial balance with your company, I believe these questions deserve a clear answer.

I am particularly interested in understanding what actually happened with QDA.com, whether the displayed $26,015.59 winning bid resulted in a completed purchase, and whether my $21,000 bid was properly considered across all participating platforms.

I would appreciate a specific, transparent response from Dynadot rather than a generic explanation of auction policies.

There was that FRST.com controversy earlier (one of the comments on X), also involved Sav and also sold for $5,655 🤔

I do not know where the information that QDA .com sold for $5,655 came from.

I see the price on the screenshot is in a different font. Are we sure this isn’t someone just playing around, and reporting a sale @ that price?

For me, Namebio reports something completely different. My understanding is that they wouldn't report a sale unless it has been confirmed. I would take Namebio's report over some person on X with a weird-looking screenshot.

I'm not sure that DD has anything to answer in that regard. Though maybe they can comment about whether it was ever reported with the lower sale price?....

EDIT:
Ah, I see that font does come from the Namebio domain page...

1792584583512.png

I guess it was misreported the first time.
I don't have much positive to say about Sav, so if there has been controversy with their auctions before, that sort of wouldn't surprise me...

@NameBio can you add any info about this?

I receive your Auction Highlights email weekly. I click on a bunch of the links and am met with the Cloudflare challenge for almost every one.

1792585335919.png

I then end up with a browser that looks like this until I go and check every box:

1792585643250.png

Sometimes, even after ticking the verification box I am asked to verify for a second time.

This is despite the fact that I am already logged into DD and the tabs are opening in the same browser window.

I find this incredibly frustrating (many extra clicks and a lot of extra waiting time while verification occurs), to the point that I am much less likely to follow those links to the auctions. Can you explain why this might be occurring? Do others have this happen?...
