@Caleb Tweed Dyna still shows .si names I successfully transferred out of Dynadot in my dashboard and they remain fs in the marketplace. These things should not occur. A fix is needed asap.
Could you DM me the specific names? I can take a look and see why they're still listed/manually remove them if possible.

Turns out Todd sends the PayPal payouts, not Dynadot. Guy must be richer than I thought 💰

Dyandot get rid of this torrid 15 day transfer lock, at least put a criteria for 10 year old accounts, accounts that do over $25K in business etc... stop locking out customers.

DD doesn't seem to be the only one with issues.
https://www.namepros.com/threads/spaceship-com-marketplace-thread.1356304/page-63#post-9706563
And, just for fun, I searched on Porkbun for some .si availability and several results came back with a 'Timeout' result and I had to run the search again (which was very slow). I'm not saying DD's issues aren't bad, just that other registrars certainly aren't immune.

An Update on Recent .SI Domain Registration Issues (Source)

Written by Dynadot
Oct 08, 2026

We want to address the recent issues affecting .SI domains and provide some context on what happened, why Dynadot was impacted, and what we're doing to improve the experience.
Over the past week, we've seen an unusually high level of demand for .SI domains. This surge created significant challenges with registry connectivity, resulting in delays and errors across several services, including domain registrations, availability checks, nameserver updates, transfers, and other domain management functions.
We understand how frustrating this has been, particularly for customers who experienced failed registration attempts, delayed updates, or difficulty managing their domains. We sincerely apologize for the disruption.

Why was Dynadot impacted so heavily?

Dynadot manages the largest portfolio of .SI domains among registrars, which meant we were handling a particularly high volume of requests during this surge.
The .SI registry has limitations on the number of connections and requests it can process. With demand increasing dramatically, these limitations created bottlenecks that affected our ability to communicate with the registry and process customer requests in a timely manner.
We've seen some customers question why they were able to perform certain actions at other registrars while experiencing difficulties at Dynadot. While other registrars also experienced connectivity challenges, the impact was not necessarily the same across all providers. Our significantly larger .SI volume meant we were placing more requests through the available registry connections, resulting in greater disruption for our customers.
For perspective, Dynadot supports over 700 TLDs and routinely processes much higher registration volumes across our platform without these types of issues. This was an unusual combination of extraordinary demand, registry infrastructure limitations, and our existing .SI market share.

What have we done to improve the situation?

Our engineering team has been actively monitoring the issues and has implemented process improvements to better manage requests, reduce unnecessary connection attempts, and improve how our systems handle registry connectivity disruptions.
While some of the underlying limitations are outside our direct control, we recognize that it's our responsibility to provide the best possible experience for our customers. We're continuing to evaluate additional improvements to our order processing, retry mechanisms, and communication around pending requests.

Moving forward

We know that many customers rely on Dynadot for time-sensitive registrations and domain management, and we understand the importance of having reliable access to these services.
This situation has highlighted areas where we can improve, particularly in how we manage unusually high demand when registry connectivity is constrained. We'll continue working to strengthen these processes and minimize the impact of similar situations in the future.
We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this unusual period, and we apologize again for the inconvenience it has caused.

Thanks for the update.

I think people understand the unusual situation, and are generally positive because of all the goodwill that Dynadot has built with the domain community over many years.

Those who had their .si at Dynadot some time ago, and NS were already set, are less impacted. I have continued to get offers forwarded, and in fact 3 of the 4 .si I have sold were at Dynadot, and those sales all proceeded smoothly.

I think the main frustration, and it is a big one, is that people can't change NS, whether to point to a Dyinadot For Sale page or something else. This seems still totally broken.

Is there not some way to free up some registry access for this by taking a temporary measure such as turning off people searching for new .si, or to set some sort of limit per person. I presume the bulk and API searches in particular are swamping the system. Could that not be turned off?

To users, you can help the system by not unnecessarily do .si searches. For example, you could use the registry whois to search if certain names are available, and then only do the Dynadot search for those you actually plan to register.

Thanks for your efforts and the ukpdate @Dynadot and I hope we will soon be able to set NS and DNS records on our .si names with you.

UPDATE: I was just now able to set NS for four of my recent .si at Dynadot, finally and without issue. I don't know if something has been improved (thank you!, or if it is just that any normal person should be doing something else on a Friday night and I was one of the few trying to change nameservers at Dynadot. Anyway a good sign!

PS I did get confirmation direct from registry, so they really did work.

For the sake of comparing: I have a few .si names registered some time ago with a Slovenian registrar, and that Registrar, which service has always been reliable, is undergoing similar difficulties nowadays.

Thank you very much for that information. I have some at NicNames and Spaceship, and a few at Atom are my only comparisons.

As I just put in my update above, tonight just now I have successfully changed NS for multiple .si names at Dynadot that had failed in past, so that is encouraging. Hopefully the situation improving.
