Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
AfternicAfternic
Caleb, portfolio of domains "Listed by ... " not showing on domains registered at Dynadot but works very well with domains registered elsewhere e.g. blsck.com is registered with another registrar , but Dynadot domains not showing section " Listed by.." How to enable it? I turned it on but not showing
Checking into this...seems like it should be the opposite if anything (but should be both). Might be as the description on your external domain is smaller than your regular ones so the page just condenses it, but let me see what techs say.

Took a little bit of a run-around to figure out what was actually causing the issue (when we checked it just so happened that the TLDs we tested on weren't apart of the problem), but our team's located the problem and has fixed it! Sorry this took so long to get around too.
Great stuff, thanks!

That's weird, I wonder if someone just reported it to gmail by mistake (this is on gmail right?). Has anyone else gotten this lately? Checking if we can see which link is blacklsited/get it whitelisted
Sent you DM.

Please add support for the keyboard Enter key to your 2FA input form. It feels so intuitive to hit Enter after typing the code on keyboard and then... nothing happens, except that you missed the timeline and now have to type anew. Or make it auto-trigger after all 6 digits are filled, like many other sites do.

@Dynadot @Caleb Tweed
I like Dynadot as a registrar and they are almost good at everything, BUT unfortunately poor in backordering service !!
Can you do something to improve your backorder service and compete with others please !!

I tried to backorder 7 domains and all failed ! Lol

.

they simply don't have enough registrars to compete with the majors and it takes sig investment to do so. Dropcatch or gname are recommended if you really must have the name

Are you still unable to access it? And is it from the mainsite or the landers you're accessing?

Hi,

I have an idea. Let us add / upload custom logos to our Dyna landers, or upload custom background,

and kindly add dark mode /theme for Dyna control panel

We have discussed that, and while we could give a couple options for backgrounds and what not, we're a bit hesitant to let people add their own backgrounds as we wouldn't want people to upload whatever they want in case it's something...unsavoury.

Could I please make a request @Dynadot @Caleb Tweed

I like your landers quite a bit, but there is one tiny thing that is a strong negative.

So near the bottom of the lander, just to the right of the payment options, is a link called More (I marked it in red).

MoreButtonRed.png

I had always assumed that was for more information about the payment methods you take. And if that is what it was it would be useful. But it isn't that, I discovered recently when I finally clicked on it.

It takes you to the Dynadot Marketplace. That by itself will trouble some, but much worse than that, in my opinion, it does not take you to similar names on the Dynadot Marketplace, or the best names, it just takes to some random names. I tried clicking it on one of my single-word .ca names, and this is what it took me to. I did not try to find a click that looked bad, this was the first click and it is representative.

Now apologies to whoever owns these names, but most of those extensions don't have a single recorded public sale of $500 or more ever on NameBio. Almost never an alphanumeric, like many of these are. Your own, often somewhat generous appraisal instrument, does not appraise them at even $100! But the worse thing, really, they have nothing at all, zero, to do with the name the person was looking at. The More button takes you to listings that are unrelated to the lander name in every way!

Imagine if I was at Amazon, searching for say a new monitor. But it suggested as additional things I should look at some unrelated trinkets that have nothing to do with monitors, or even quality things that are unrelated. I am looking for a monitor, I don't want to see perfume!. Would that cause you to pause making a purchase at the marketolace, or at least be frustrated? What is the impression I would have of the marketplace and seller? You are doing serious damage to your reputation (and indirectly the sellers) through this link to random unrelated names from each lander.

We know that Dynadot is a quality company with superb people and offer great pricing, features, and service. You deservedly have been voted the number 1 registrar year after year here at NamePros (including my vote). Please, please, please make changing this an urgent priority. It would seem to me that the change is simple — just make the More button go away. (or make it about payment methods you support)

Thank you for considering this request.

-Bob

Hi Bob!

Appreciate the insight and detailed explanation! I think you're right, by looking at that button you'd assume that it leads to more information about the payment methods, not more listings. I'll chat with my design team asap on removing that.

Cheers,
Caleb

EDIT: My suspicion was correct, it is supposed to redirect to the payment options page here: https://www.dynadot.com/payment-options, I guess something just got mixed up along the way.

This is being fixed right now, will be corrected soon.

Hi Caleb,

Someone injected this link everywhere ..
The same thing with portfolio link "Listed by: ****"
and
"View More"
1771523968104.png

instead of user listings:
https://www.dynadot.com/market/user-listings

it forwards to Bob's link (main Dyna marketplace page),
