Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I am really concerned about Deadbeat bidders on dyandot over 50% of the auctions I have participated in, are getting relisted based on non payment. Dynadot collects 5% fee from deadbeat, then options the second highest bidder to pay full price, even though high bidders bids should be invalidated. I don't usually say anything, but the % of defaults is becoming concerning. This is outside of the RIck situation, this is just own my own personal experiences in the past 60 days. Seems like as bidders we are suspectable to getting shilled, by bidders who lack the resources to follow thru with their bids. This is not finger pointing, but just more so discussion on how we can create a more fair, and open system where we can feel like we are getting a fair bidding platform. I don't want anyone to go off course, but maybe ideas how we can make this better.

Hey Dynadot, where’s the Black Friday discount for new .com hand regs? So far I only see discounts on .shit extensions., what's going on?

Hear you loud and clear on the Black Friday sales, I talked to my team and it looks like we'll be adding some Renewal and Transfer discounts! We should have them finalized on the lander and ready for Black Friday next week.

Well, about seller brokerage, @Dynadot @Caleb Tweed :

In your comprehensive introduction of these brokerage services, when referring to outbound, you relate it to domains worth 10k or more. However, when following the specific link, we are invited to submit domains worth 200k or more.

I totally understand this is referred to, on NamePros, as standard for seller brokerage services, that they wouldn't bother for less. Still, I would appreciate your clarification about the difference between those figures.

I wish the entire domain name industry, as a whole, would adopt what is called "earnest payment" like what is done in physical real estate (at least it is in the USA, not sure if it exists elsewhere?).

It would go a long way toward showing that the buyer is serious and willing to demonstrate an earnest of good faith about wanting to complete the transaction.

The earnest payment should go to the seller, not the house, however. IMO.

And, I received an email from DD advertising their new Brokerage Service (for Buyers and Sellers):
https://www.dynadot.com/blog/dynadot-brokerage-service
Am interested to read that but will do so when Dynadot comes back up.

UPDATE: Back up again. Seems like an interesting offering.

Hey, thanks for the catch. Not sure why it said that tbh, that's been updated to $200k.

Just so we're all on the same page, outbound brokerage service is for domains valued either at or over $200k.

I'm seeing if I can get one added for Black Friday this week, but honestly we might not have one for a bit due to how successful the October sale was.

Yeah I can see how that would have been successful. I'll keep my list poised!

Something odd is happening at dyna right now...anyone else see it?

Checked multiple browsers...it's graphics are way off when going into 'manage domains'.

Is it still happening? Just checked mine and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

I logged out as soon as I realized it wasn't on my end...give me a few and I'll log in again.

It did not do it on all pages...the appraisal page was okay...the font size jumped to 40 or so.
