Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I've gotta dig into listing everything at NameClub.

I probably have to add TXT everywhere to list when not regged at NameClub. And then figure out a way to export csv with prices and then upload to nameclub. A bother for a small marketplace (but all eyeballs are welcome)

Definitely. With the increase in the number of marketplaces lately, and with Afternic to launch DomainNames.com in the near future (to compete with Atom maybe?), I can see this spiraling out of control unless you're great at keeping things organised.

I'm guilty of it myself - just last week I removed a domain from all the other marketplaces after selling one on Afternic. Only to find that I had forgotten about the Dynadot marketplace. The buyer probably got tired of waiting (the domain was under 60-day ICANN lock) and decided to purchase on Dynadot directly instead where it was registered. Ofc Afternic wasn't too pleased with this!

Add in another couple of marketplaces and things could get messy very quickly.

What would be awesome is a service that allows us to list once to as many marketplaces as we'd like to, keeps track of the pertinent requirements at each marketplace, obeys policies of the marketplaces such as exclusivity, handles pricing requirements depending on where the listings are exclusive (ie. atom requires afternic >= 10% of atom's price), and more..

Certainly a tall order but would be very cool.

Agreed, I had considered doing something like this in the past, but the fact that Afternic doesn't provide an API like the other marketplaces kind of threw a spanner in the works.

You could have a tool that generates the CSV files for afternic and then automatically sync the rest, but I felt it would be a little too clunky.

True.

Would love for it to be seamless and mostly hands-off. Set and forget, sort of. "smart".

With the lack of an API, and maybe others are similar(?) I agree it would be clunky.

DomainNames.com is an ultra premium marketplace (even higher end than Atom's UPM).

Shame, I was hoping that would turn out to be something like Atom or DAN for regular domains. But if they were going to do something like that, I guess they wouldn't have killed DAN in the first place.

Anyone else having a problem making domain changes (pricing, nameservers, etc) at Dynadot?

The 'Save Settings' button seems to have died.

Looks like I've got to go over to X and stir the pot...I still can not make changes.

I just changed nameservers and I'm almost always logged in there. No problems on my end.

No problem fam. I also registered a new domain a few minutes ago and paid with paypal. The process was smooth.

After checking several names, it only seems to be 'locked' when trying to make changes to names displaying in a certain way...going to do more checking.

So, I found a post on another blog from someone having the same issue.

If someone would check it out I would be appreciative...it seems that names that are currently using Dynadot for sale pages can not be altered (DNS or pricing). Names that use (for example) namepros servers can be changed/altered.

It seems when I select DD For Sale page, I have to first unlock my account, make various selections, then the system re-locks the domain/account. Are you unlocking the account before trying to make changes? Mine required unlock to use DD Sale page.

By the way, I didn't know DD for sale page was so robust! Wow! Good stuff @Dynadot !!! I will explore this much more!

Yes, I'm fully unlocked.

I too like their for sale pages, they look good and the graph option is a plus (wish we could adjust the time period--day, week, month.
