Hi all!

We’ve created this thread to make it easier to communicate with us here on Namepros, and we’ll also be posting regular updates on our offers and products. Please feel free to share any feedback and suggestions with us, or to let us know if there’s anything we can assist with.

We’d like to kick things off with an extension of our $7.99 .COM transfer sale, the code “COMTRANS4” has been extended until 23:59 PST on May 31, and there’s no limit on how many domains you can transfer using the code. Every month we have great prices on a wide selection of domains, and you can find a full list of our sales here:

https://www.dynadot.com/sales.html

We’re also excited to share that our CEO, Todd Han, will be hosting an AMA (Ask Me Anything) right here on Namepros in the near future, with more information on a date and time coming soon.

Dynadot is an ICANN accredited domain name registrar and web host headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2002 by a software engineer, our primary focus is engineering and design excellence. Our custom written, state-of-the-art domain and hosting software is stable, fast, and easy to use. From humble beginnings, we have grown steadily and now are home to over 2.6 million domains.

Our goal is to provide our customers with world class registration and hosting services for a reasonable price. Most of our site is fully automated, allowing us to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry. At the same time we strive to provide excellent customer service, and helpful responses to all questions. If anything is not to your satisfaction, feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to resolve the situation.

We individually respond to every email we receive - no cut and paste responses. Customer service is handled by highly trained customer service representatives that work closely with our software engineers, so you are likely to get an intelligent response to your question.

@Caleb Tweed

Hi Caleb,

I opened a ticket about it with Dynadot, but most of the time customer service at Dyna opt not to react on tickets until the second arrival of the Christ, so, duplicating here, hoping you can find out just a bit faster.

I am trying to set up Google Analytics on Aftermarket - Aftermarket Settings - For Sale Landing Page. Question: when instructing GA (the process you go thru before receiving the tracking ID), what should I tell it as a ''website'' to analyze? Any of my landers with Dynadot? And if so - the domain name itself of Dynadot's redirect?

Thank you.
Hey! Checking with our Aftermarket engineers on this, will let you know shortly.

caleb
changed login from 10h to 24h

and get logged out in both cases about 1h later

I hope u fix it

else I'm stuck watching cloidflare circle spin pointlessly for 5 mins and type my login every hour

I have better uses for my time plz
Hmm let me run some tests, I haven't heard of it not working lately. Which browser are you using?

Yes it should be, would you prefer it not there?
I would prefer it not to show...one reason is the USD redundancy with the .00 showing behind the dollar amount. It takes up too much space and clutters an otherwise neat appearance.

If it were a toggle option for the seller that would be ideal. If it is something that must appear, why not have it in a third or quarter tone in the box (price area) itself?

Thanks! From what I understood already during the last few days, if you put a name of one landing page, the GA ID issues code, that gets applied to all the names that you load into Dynadot after this (basically, new names that you register). However all the names that are already there in the system, stay unaffected. Which means to add this GA ID one by one... Still hope there is a way to apply it one time only.

I believe it's better to be not there.

Mentioning a minimum offer amount just directly suggests that you are ready to accept that minimum offer price and there is no reason Buyer going to offer a better price later.

If we are going to accept the minimum offer, then again there is no use reason to use make offer option instead of Buy now, as Buy now will just finish the deal.

In case we want to see how much max price a domain can get offers, minimum price shouldn't be mentioned.

Or at least there should be a toggle to turn it off at the seller end, as mentioned by Mister Funsky.

Rechecked it. Unlike other marketplaces, since we don't need to mention a minimum offer price in the backend, we have the option to just leave the minimum offer value blank in the sellers dashboard to avoid showing any minimum offer amount in the lander page.
So it's all good.

It would be good to leave a space between the price and the currency and also if possible avoid decimal value.

Sounds good! Yeah I agree the kerning is a bit off there, I'll have them fix that.

Thank you. The same with transfer fee as well (other registrar domains listed). There is no space between $xx, USD, Transferfee. Please mention this as well.

@Caleb Tweed, best of luck with your upcoming adventure!

Please pass along the request for a longer finance/payment term than 12 months. I've been trying to close a deal for a week and buyer just can't swing payments for that term. 24 months and I'd be selling it today.

I've got the option for GD/After but the buyer does not want to do business there. They are maxed out on cards as they are launching a site and my name happens to be the plural of a name they bought a couple of years ago...their funds are way limited (retail site will be successful but it will take a little time).

If the dynadot system can not handle sending a bill to buyer or seller when the time comes to renew, give the buyer the option to renew the name for a year or two to allow the longer finance term option to become available. I've sold a couple of names thru GD/After that I could have sold thru Dyna had a longer finance term been available.

We're actually currently working on expanding, but I can see if I we can run anything special for you! Please DM me the domain and the prospective price and I'll see if the aftermarket team can work it!

I really appreciate that but just before I came here, the buyer sent an email said he was willing to take a look at GD/After and I responded with okay...really bums me out as I would rather have it go thru Dynadot.

He still has not seen the terms yet so he might not like the extra fee/commission they would charge above what Dyna would. I will update as soon as know what he wants to do. The amount would not exceed 6K.

Suggestion: Column in portfolio view that shows number of registered extensions for a given domain's SLD. Should be easy to do using your Bulk Lookup services, no need to use DotDB.

Idea for @Dynadot : we set our domain for sale price on @Dynadot for sale lander, and then we can set the % increase price on afternic or sedo to cover their higher commission fees.

@Caleb Tweed How's it going with the multiple security key options?

It's a work in progress! I think the team was unconvinced it was needed initially due to our retrieval mechanism (I think we'd received this request once before), but it sounds like it's moving along. I'll update you once it's completed but that's a ways out still.

Just so I'm understanding correctly, would you want it to show how many of the domains SLDs you have registered in your account or are registered in general? like if you have caleb.uk it would show that caleb.co.uk is registered in your account (or is regged at all)?

Do you just want the info for seeing what's available of the same extension (but different SLD) or is it just for bookkeeping's sake? If I'm way off let me know.

Let me know if I'm getting this right:

You want a function when you set your domain for sale on Dynadot that it also sets it on Afternic/Sedo but it adjusts it for their larger commission fees?
