I always thought that Dynadot enforced a 60-day transfer lock on .com names that were recently transferred in. But according to their own help files, this does not seem to be the case:

"We can confirm that Dynadot doesn’t place locks on new registrations or incoming transfers—it’s not a policy that we’ve adopted or implemented ourselves. We also don’t add a 60-day lock when there’s a change of registrant (i.e. when the registrant’s name, organization, email, etc. is updated) so long as the opt-out is selected prior to the change. Although we don’t impose these locks, central registries may enforce them under their policies."

Has someone tried to transfer a domain away from Dynadot that was transferred to them within 60 days?
So this varies a ton between TLDs. Verisign and Identity Digital domains (and .UK, but that's a little different as is), don't require the domain to be transfer locked, so we don't require it either!

Unfortunately there's not a concrete list of which TLDs do and do not have a transfer lock, as it varies between Registries.

A tempting package, I used it twice.
How often do we rack our brains over a supposed super name that is taken in com net org and the most important ccTLDs? It's rare that io and tech are free at the same time. io is expensive from the start and tech is often discounted in the first year, but then hits you with high fees on renewal. Which ending to choose? With this special I'll take both, hopefully the choice between io and tech (or against both) will be easier a year later. It will be expensive in any case.

I participated in an auction a few days ago and today got a notification that I won a domain. But there's something weird about it. Transfer fee...
total cost: €125.49
winning bid: €18.08
transfer fee: €107.41

I googled a bit and found that
  • If the domain is registered with another registrar, the domain transfer fee will be displayed on the domain listing page and added to the final price.
But there was no any mention of extra fee on the page, it was a premium domain but with the regular renewal fee of 40, well that's why I decided to take it. How 18 become 125? I'm doing the domains thing for like 25 years now and always checking the prices to avoid such premium renewal/transfer/etc. traps. Should I write them and ask to check it (maybe the fee is missing for the premium/registry auctions/etc listings) or they would simply ban my account without explanation? So disappointed.

Ask @Caleb Tweed to look at it, or if it's time sensitive, chat with their reps. But be forewarned, their reps aren't the highest trained... if you don't like their answer... Caleb is 100% your man.

Hello, Could you please DM me the domain in question? I'd be happy to look into this and see what went wrong/if something in our system needs some correcting!

We do list transfer prices if they are needed on the listing page, so I'd like to see if something went amiss with this one.

Any option to remove the suggested appraisal amount displayed below my names ? I hope you guys don't look at Godaddy appraisal and do thesame ?

I hope Dynadot don't lose focus and look similar to Godaddy and get bought out by Godaddy .

Hello! Is this is the Manage Domains area? As there is an option to disable the Appraisal by hitting the 'Column' button in the right hand corner! If you're referencing somewhere else let me know.

@Caleb Tweed, I hope your travels were fun filled.

I see where the pop up is appearing when the cursor is moved over the number field...nice touch and thank you for getting this done!

Now I want to address the extra 15% added to the 1st payment if a buyer chooses to finance an name. Is that really necessary? It would be smoother if it were simply an equal payment across the board.

Just to share with others, now that I've switched many hundreds of names to Dynadot landers, my offers have increased. Might be due to the NS change, but there has been a noticeable increase.

For the "Save Search", were you thinking specifically saving the most recent search you did so everytime you can search the same thing, or would you prefer templates of settings that you could save and select when it's convenient to you?

I think minimizing the cell padding shouldn't be an issue, I'll check what we can do for that!

As for the Order Finished page, I don't think we'd want to remove that completely as I think it adds a good sense of completion when the order actually goes through (and shows the order number for reference), but having a "Return to My Domains" or "My Account" setting might not be a bad idea! I'll bring it to the team and see if we can workshop something for that. Thanks for the suggestions!

Referencing my post from a year ago, and your response above...

I am very pleased that there was an adjustment to the cell-padding and I can now view 7.5 TLD's in the grid view results. Thank you!

However, I've never seen any changes regarding the option to save Bulk search settings. It would be super helpful if this option was available. Do you know if your devs have considered this at all?...

In a perfect world, I'd love to have a direct link from my Dashboard (e.g. 'Take me to my custom bulk search') that I could click which would take me directly to the Bulk Domain Search and preload my saved settings (TLD's, ordered how I like them). At the moment it's 3 clicks just to get to the Bulk search (after logging in), and then about 15 more to make the desired customizations (which I have to repeat every time)...

And since I'm asking (and expecting you to meet my desires) ;) - how about a direct link to Manage Domains? Honestly, the only places I use 99% of the time after logging in are that and the new Domain Search.

Perhaps this could be easiest accomplished by the devs just adding another customizable element to the Summary page which would allow us to add a couple of internal links of our own if we have pages like that which we'd like to go to directly?... Just a thought... :)

Under manage domains, the search filter only works the first time.

Once you're looking at a filtered of domains the search no longer works and you have to go back to the main manage domains page in order to search/filter again.

Also the "enter" button doesn't work in the search box once you've done a search, it just adds a line break.

Hi @Caleb Tweed I switched the NS for some DD domains to Sedoparking 12 hours ago and activated SedoMLS (twice). Normally the MLS confirmation button appears immediately on the DD start page. This time nothing happens. I don't know whether this is due to Sedo or DD or maybe me. I'll ask here first, also because in the Afternic thread it was pointed out that FT synchronization between DD and Afternic has been lost, e.g. here.

Another tiny detail: When logging in, the SMS code for 2FA must be entered. The cursor flashes in the relevant input field, so you start to type in the code but nothing happens. You have to click in the field again to be able to enter the code. Is this a particularly ingenious Captcha exercise? Perhaps this can be changed: When the cursor is flashing in the box, you can type.

@Caleb Tweed Please fix FT status, All FT eligible names on dynadot been disabled. at afternic the Domain FT status is on. Last night i try to unlink / relink and relist on Afternic but still doesn't work until now. FT badge wont show up on those names. bin price added at afternic but at dyna show nothing..

Last night i try to unlink / relink and relist on Afternic but still doesn't work until now. FT badge wont show up on those names. bin price added at afternic but at dyna show nothing..

I have the same issue as well. Been trying to get it fixed talking to both Afternic and Dynadot for the past several days.

BTW, its not just your badge not working, most of your names aren't purchasable on Afternic now either. Find a name of yours that is greyed on Dynadot but still says its FT active on Afternic. Then search for it in GoDaddy and click the Get It button as if you're buying it. It will most likely tell you the name is not available.

😵‍💫 Yeah, its not being promoted and showed at rows 15 on search result, not available when added to cart. but it show premium sign here.

I already try changing the ns3/ns4 to ns5/ns6 , change to different Afternic lander, remove the name from afternic and directly added in dynadot but the issue still there. Right now, i already unlinked my dynadot with afternic.
Also i'm confuse, is this only happen only with 2-3 people here?

Are you still running into this issue? I was unable to replicate it from my account, but perhaps I'm not searching correctly. If you still get this, could you DM me a screen capture of the issue please?

I join the club. The FT sync problem I reported in the Afternic thread a while ago, but I just noticed that some of my Dynadot-domains are not available for purchase.
I unlist every freaking name on Afternic tomorrow. I'm tired of constant babysitting.
