Well there's no button you can press to add a blog or forum. You can build a forum and blog, but if you've got no experience of it, it's going to be more trouble than it's worth. You would be safer installing the blog or forum on a subdomain, and then link to that forum/blog from your website.

Try Wordpress for blog software, and phpBB for forum software.

Try Wordpress for blog software, and phpBB for forum software.

And afterwards you can bridge things up instead.

Learning wordpress is lot easier than dreamweaver.

You can learn wordpress in just days...where as to perfect things up in dreamweaver, takes hell ob a time to make decent sites let alone the dynamic sites.
But your knowledge in dreamweaver will help you get great result in wordpress related site.

not on dreamweaver but on cpanel using fantastico you can install wordpress.

fantastico will also have other scripts available for blogs, and also some for forums too. you might want to find a host that has cpanel with fantastico and a few mysql databases (each blog/forum will need a database). you can also install the blog/forum to your existing site in a directory like yoursite.com/blog or yoursite.com/forum.

I use Dreamweaver myself and I've found it to be great. Sure, there is a steep learning curve but once you get over that its fantastic.

I second all the above. For an example of all three have a look at my website. I have used dreamweaver to design the site. Then wordpress for the blog, and finally phpbb3 for the Forum.

I am by no means an experienced web designer, just took some time and tweaking, and makes the different bolt ons look like all the same website...

Wordpress is a quick install from fantastico or is very simple to install yourself (their famous "5 minute install"). I created the whole template from scratch using Dreamweaver's "code view" (it's nice because it's color coded, like Notepad++).

As far as forums, you can use phpBB software and edit the CSS styles in Dreamweaver, but the install itself is by adding it to your local folder, then uploading to your server and following the install process.

Good luck with everything.

you can do it from your webhosting control panel if it has script installer like Fantastico. or you have to install them manually.
