Hi everyone,
I was wondering how using Dreamweaver I would add these 2 things to my website?
* A counter on my page to count the amount of people view my site,
* and add a guest book for people to sign etc. (could you explain using dreamweaver or if not is there a code i could copy paste?)

also: I was wondering how much all you web site designers charge clients etc. for a website? in american dollars?

Thank you very much and at the same time, Congratulations to New Zealands trading website www.trademe.co.nz, is in the paper today for selling to an Australian man for $700 Million dollars!!!!! how insane is that, good on the guy as he started it up as a little hobby to use as a internet garage sale site!!!

Guest books and counters can be found for free on the net. They then give you code to paste into DW. I charge $100 for non profits and $200 for profiting companies right now while I build a portfolio. This is extremely cheap. They don't have a lot of content, which helps.

you can always check on popular tutorial websites such as
Pixel2Life.com

well those counters are free on most of the cpanel hosting

so that will be easy no searching .. just search a cpanel host

and there you go

There are a bunch of free counter sites out there though. It won't be hard to run a Google on it.

my advice would be to code a php one yourself but as i said zymic.com has a load of them, im sure you can use one.

If he/she is using DW then that probably means they are new to the field. If he/she is new to the field he/she probably can't even code HTML. Maybe if you pointed him/her to a place where they could find php code to make their own that would be a start.
