Do not use this company. I think scam company. Those who have domains here, please be careful. I transferred out following my 2 domains before expired dates.

bmmmb.com
hg9297.com

They are charging me for a service I did not purchase. Because I transferred my domains to another company before they renew them. They want from me to pay $26 per domain for domains that they don't renew. According to the rules, we need to transfer the domain 1 month before the expired day. Normally we can transfer out domains last expired date. They are not inside the icann rules. I think domain registrar authorizations should be reviewed by ICANN. If they don't resolve my problem I will report them to Icann...They victimize domain owners.

One.com is an ICANN accredited domain registrar so you can file a complaint with them

I forwarded this situation to the chat support team. I got the answer that "it is none of our business, we have our own rules."

Ok, but you can still file a complaint with ICANN and get them to look at the matter and correct One.com

Were you able to transfer-out?

What was the price you paid for these .com domains at One.com? (last year)

What are the contractual details of these registrations?

Yes I was able to transfer out because expired dates has not yet arrived.

bmmmb.com 27 Nov 2024
hg9297.com 6 Dec 2024

They have to be inside to icann rules. They can't use own rules. If the domain expiration period had passed and they had extended the period, I would agree.I transffered out these domains before they renew my domains

This is more a contractual issue between you and One.com, I think. Technically you were able to transfer-out, which is good.

So again, what did you pay for these .com domains earlier? What plan, what contractual details, were involved?

It doesn't matter if it's $10 or $5. Can they ask me to pay for something they didn't provide service for? If they had extended the duration (renew) of the domains, I would have said they were right.

Yes, depending on the plan and plan details.

My guess is that you got a plan with hosting, and you still have to pay for that package.

ICANN cannot do anything about that.

I didn't buy a hosting plan or another package. I just registered a domain name. My contracts form details:

DOMAIN REGISTRATION The undersigned hereby requests one.com to register on my/our behalf the following domain name under the .com domain: bmmmb.com Registrant: Full name: Country: Address: Zip & City: Phone: Mobile phone: Email: Onur Kocayigit Turkey Denizli xxxx @gmail In connection with the registration of the above mentioned domain, I request the following services to be set up through one.com: 0 GB web space. I the undersigned hereby agrees to the above mentioned and that the usage of the above mentioned domain name does not violate the rights of a third party. All prices are exclusive VAT.

Interesting. When I'm testing now, there seems to be a discount for the first year.

I just had the same issue. I hate companies with these "contracts" they act like they are so great and professional.

One.com & Ionos put your domains into contract and will continue to charge invoices even if you transfer or cancel a name because the "contract" remained open.

They can't ask us to pay for something we didn't buy. I m user of ionos nearly 5-6 years. I don't have any problem with them. One.com is not same. You can't remove renewals on One.com Cp.

I would just file a complaint with ICANN and let them sort it out.

Registrars can have their own terms and policies, but they still have to be compatible with ICANN policies.

Even if they were in this case, I would never deal with a registrar with these type of anti-consumer policies.

I think some guys said that they transferred away without any issues. I have also transferred domains to them, but I haven 't tried to transfer away yet.
I have done only transfers, no registrations, not sure if there is any difference. I think @Traderas transfered away without any issues?

Isn't what they did against the rules of ICANN? I can transfer my domain abroad until the last day. How can this company charge me for a domain that they haven't renewed? And they are icann acredited registrar. What is the purpose of establishing icann?
I doubt they will do anything. Which sub category would you select?

You were able to transfer-out, so that's ICANN compliant. The rest is contractual between you and One.com.

You can argue with One.com that you never ordered such a plan, or that their billing is incorrect, etc. However, that would be not something ICANN will resolve for you. Imo.

This scam is done via domain, though? Do you remember Registerfly issue?
