Domains expiring at GoDaddy

I have a few domains at GoDaddy that will be expiring next week, and I haven't yet decided if they're worth renewing or not. They expire October 4th.

How many days will I have to renew them at the normal rate, before they go to TDNAM auction, etc? I'm looking to know the worst case scenario - exactly how much time do I have to play with before I need to worry about someone else getting ahold of them?

They get taken out of your account on the 18th day after expiry.
