About a month or so ago GoDaddy stopped listing .mobi domains in their expiring auctions. After much pushing for answers (6 calls, support tickets and a ton of pure BS) I was told today that they simply decided to no longer offer .mobi expiring lists as if it was some business decision, which makes no sense since it basically costs them nothing to list their own customers expiring domains no matter what the extension. This shut down by GoDaddy corresponds to about when mTLD was sold so I'm curious to any connections, but as usual substantive answers are not to be found or provided by GoDaddy. So I'm curious to hear any thoughts on this, perhaps someone here knows more about the innards of registry/registrar relations and how it may have an influence on things like this.
Please spare the .mobi bashing, there's plenty of that in other threads to last a lifetime.
