registrars Domain bought by another registrar

Hello,
I just noticed today, a domain that I was following at auction 2 months ago had no bids. From what I know if it doesn't have any bids, the auction it is gonna be canceled, following to be dropped. I know it was cancelled by the registrar. On the 4th day after the auction was cancelled the domain was transferred/ bought by another register. Is that possible?

It wasn't dropcatched. It still has the first date when was registered 4 years ago. It wasn't dropped.

If it was a Godaddy expiry auction, then it goes to Closeout if it doesn't get any bids. If someone bought it for $50, then 4 days before reaching another registrar is not abnormal.

Not GoDaddy, it was Namecheap.

What the extension? A domain in pending delete status cannot be transferred.

Maybe this is partner registrar. Like GD auctions. Domains expired at partner registrars are also listed there. That is, this domain was originally with this registrar.
