discuss Does .link tld sound like a good company tld?

I am not talking about safety / value / usage from other companies. Imagine you are the user. Do you think you would like a company website named Company.Link?

I wound no use a .link to name my company but I certainly use it for another purpose: bookmarks.

Google uses domain page.link for its dynamic links at Firebase. In my eyes, extension fits to such a purpose or for bookmarks manager as guillon indicated above. In different fields, though, I wouldn't be delighted with this brand.

In general I would not consider it for company, and like uses others posted above. However, I might consider it for certain types of companies that would tie into link like a blockchain firm or fencing company.

Personally, I would never use a .link for my company name. I don’t “hate” the extension at all, but I would only use a .com, or a niche ngTLD. Or a ccTLD, if the company is a local one.

Eg. I am using a .com for my main business, but a .domains for my domain business.

No. If your market is local, use the ccTLD. If your market is global, use .COM. If your company uses link without owning the equivalent .COM or (companyname)link.com then it is going to lose traffic to the .COM.

Uni is doing nothing to market the extension. Regs are going down and I'm not sure I believe all the registry sales tbh.
