I've always been a skeptic of new TLDs. Yet, it's undeniable that many of these new TLDs will have its moment. Whether that moment is a bubble that will burst is another question.

We should not be dismissive of the fact that some of these new TLDs will stabilize. It's becoming clear the .club tld will be here to stay. I do believe .club's potential has been overvalued in some areas, but it seems like a likely TLD to eventually reach stability. The foundation for stability is developed sites. The reason why people are investing more in .co again is partly because of all the big names that went into it.

I'm beginning to suspect that .live is the next new TLD to have its moment. As said before, it may as well approach a bubble (which TLD doesn't?). For domain investors, bubbles can be both pain and excitement- sometimes both at the same time. The earlier days of CHIP were fun, weren't they? Even if it were a bubble, we would still be lucky to get into it early game.

What's going for .live? Well, it currently lacks much hype. It's earlier hype subsided due to various circumstances that you may be aware of. Today, it doesn't have the same marketing reach as other TLDs in the market. But it might not need more promotion. It has a natural drive to it. Live streaming is a growing service and is considered to be the future of live entertainment. Major companies are investing more and more in improving their live streaming content. Youtube has made live streaming more prominent. Live streams are also becoming a preferred method to drive traffic into youtube channels.

Due to the versatility of the word live itself, .live has potential in lifestyle, news, music, concerts, and media. The .live tld will likely have its own version of success just because it's ".live".

Currently, it looks like .live has found itself as a re-direct domain tld. GunsNRoses uses it to quickly direct visitors to their website. MSNBC, CBS, and Today all use it as a quick re-direct. There are several established news sites and radio stations (mostly localized) that use the TLD. We're also likely going to see more competition in live streaming apps such as Up Live (http://up.live).

Conclusion? .Live is unlikely to your next major TLD for your investments. It's also unlikely to be the next .co. For many investors, it might not be even worth the effort. Nevertheless, pick the right domains, and you might get a nice return on your investment. The .live tld doesn't have hype right now, but it does have meaning. And I'd rather place my bets on logic than hype. How do you feel about .live?

"Here is a break down of the most popular domains based on the Traffic data for the Top 1,000,000 sites globally. The number next to the domain represents the number of sites with that domain in the top 1 million most visited sites."

https://domaintyper.com/top-websites

As OP said club is doing very well

Thank you for the helpful page of site use all in one place. I could not find a statement on the site re how current the data is. Given that .icu and .app that both have reasonable numbers in Alexa 1M are missing seems to tell me that domaintyper is using old data. The numbers for xyz and club are about right but maybe because they have been stable.

I usually use Namestat for Alexa 1M and they seem to update every day or two. Unfortunately it is only for ngTLDs and you need to check them one at a time. Your site is much easier.

DomainNameStats.com (their companion site in beta) does have Alexa for most cc's as well, and seems regularly updated. Default is by reg numbers but the list can be sorted alphabetically.

musicplayer.live
Any search term that gets 100k+ is good if it vaguely matches the extension.
