Does BuyDomains.com Renew All 500,000 Names

BuyDomains claims to have over 500,000 domains in their inventory. My question is, those 499,XXX that they don't sell during any one year period, do you think they renew them, let them drop or what? They have fantastic names, so can they afford to renew each name? Can they afford not to (i.e. let a great name drop)? Thanks.

I'm sure most of their names earn more than enough in PPC to pay for renewal, so I doubht you see any of the good names drop. Surely they let go of some, but I imagine all the better ones are renewed.

I also believe the revenue for each of their domains would more than cover the renewal costs.

I wonder if they have them all with the same register.

I don't think they worry about chasing special GoDaddy discount codes :D

What would their renewal cost per domain be?

They definitely renew. Saggydimes doesn't do all that bidding on SnapNames for nothing!@

They will renew cheaper than regular reg fees since they themselves is an ICANN-accredited registrar. And that renewals in bulks which result in even a better discount.

Yeah, they probably pay the base rate rather than us paying the registrar also. Even if it's only $3 each you're looking at $1.5million total. Ouch.

Yes, I've been monitoring hundreds of BD domains and yes, they renew.

I would'nt hold your breath for that one !!! :lol: he's usually bidding for about 7/10 names I'm after :bah:

Also, consider that they don't sell names for $100. I think the lowest price they generally consider is about $300, and most are well above that into 4 or more figures. Sell one name and you have enough profit to renew dozens.
