Because of what it's about, "The" suits it's need, as it is specific.
Without it, it just becomes "generic" (and a boatload of cash more ) :hehe:

I don't like article adjectives in domains. Had the domain in question been a generic/category-killer + "the," I'd be different on the thought. TheCar.com would be great. "TheBestSite.com" doesn't tickle my fancy.
