Hi

I have several domains that I bought years ago... Considering selling them.

Serious question... Where do you think I should market them? (besides NamePros...)

They are all three word domains that begin with the words "TheCity" and then you add one word after that, similar to: "The City Grocer" or "The City Banker" or "The City Plumber"

Do you think names like this have much value or are they too long?

thanks in advance for any suggestions

hi

length is less of issue, than domain beginning with "the"

though "thecity" by itself is quite brandable, extending it further looses strength down the line and thus could dilute value of "like portfolio".

then again, it/they may appeal to folks looking for generic areas to market or facade for.

imo...

thanks for your reply...

Where do you think it is best place to list sites for sale these days?

Sedo has always worked best for me.

Though I had not used Afternic for some time (started listing again about a year ago) this year was a good year with them. Their premium MLS puts the names in front of a lot of end users. As I am mostly with eNom this was the only MLS available for a lot of my names.

I think your best bet would be to develop them and target their local markets. Make little niche sites relevant to whatever the main city keywords are, then they maybe be worth more down the line.

I just looked up a lot of "The City" followed by keywords and most seem to be available, so maybe not too much interest in the names as of yet, but a good dev job would add value.
