Google adsense shows public service ads when their isn't any matching ads for content of my site.

My question is does the impressions and click on public service ads reflects in my adsense account? and how do i avoid this

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I don't think public service ads are counted since they're unpaid.

Yes, they do count. They just don't pay anything. You can set up an alternate ad URL to replace your PSAs. This can be acheived from the ad setup wizard.

In adsense on the second page you can select a different page to show if there aren't any relevant ads: https://www.google.com/adsense/alternateads

But if you're getting a lot of public service ads that can mean adsense doesn't know what your page is about. Try not to write about too many different subjects on each page. Be specific and use relevant keywords in your page and post title.

OR something in your page ("stop words", content) is triggering one of their filters
OR you're blocking the mediabot (Mediapartners-Google*) from spidering the site.

Yup. They count towards your page/ad unit impressions.
(well, at least for me, they did).

But, if somebody clicks on them, the will fetch you no money.

So, they are just that : "good for nothing".

thanx,
Shadab.
