Unstoppable Domains โ€” Expired Auctions

Discuss your Epik Experience!

I think Epik is building the best ever Domain Lander in the history of domaining, and it really needs to be talked about extensively. That's why I am creating this discussion thread. A lot of thought process really goes into the project. And I can see (for the first time) a landing page that is built from the stand point of domainers rather than for just the marketplace itself.

Everything you have ever dreamt of getting or seeing in a professional landing page can be found in the new Epik marketplace landing page design.

Some of my Favorites Features:

1. The ability to optimize your "domain for sale" landing page to actually rank on Google, displaying your sales pitch/domain description. I just did that with few of my generic domain names such as ASAP.TV, targeting certain keywords, and they are showing pretty well on Google. That's a huge plus in my marketing effort.

2. Being able to change background image is another huge one for me. If you are good with pictures and images, you will surely find this very useful. I did that with Nagasaki.org and the result was truly amazing, showing the city of Nagasaki right at the background.

There are too many positive features and I don't want to mention all of them, all alone :xf.grin::xf.grin:

So I am leaving you guys to share and discuss what you loves most or dislike about the new Epik marketplace and the landing pages.

The only negative for me is the checkout process. There are too many terms and conditions buttons to tick before checking out. It will be nice if they can streamline those into one beautiful big button :xf.cool:

They also need to place the checkout button directly under the payment options. Right now it is awkwardly place somewhere below at the sidebar, which I don't find cool at all.

Sales experience is also welcomed in this discussion. I haven't had any sells so far at Epik because I started using the marketplace just recently, but the future is looking so bright.

This line of thinking can make you fall behind the times, but don't worry soon AI will teach you everything you need to know, or better yet will do everything for you. ;)
A machine can already teach you, Google can teach you, a program can teach you. A lot of machines can do peoples work nowadays, but this is not INTELLIGENCE.
Having intelligence, think by yourself, ITS A VERY DIFFERENT THING. I guess is in this concept, that some people doesn't have it clear what it means.

You should do some research and expand your knowledge a little more about AI, but nevertheless good luck with your domaining. :)

Moved most of my domains over to Epik on the Black Friday sale. Just had my first sale off an Epik landing page for a cool $1999. Everything worked quickly for both buyer and seller. Domain already points to another site.

During 2020 we are going to try to really up our SEO game thanks to some capable efforts from our fast-growing team in India led by @Pat8

In addition, I want to become highly effective at Twitter as an influencer marketing strategy. If you have a quality name that is registered at Epik and powered with an Epik SSL lander, happy to amplify it.

In this case, @capiche did some recon on our target and I did some targeted marketing of our decision-maker. Example:

Last night (maybe early this morning) I used Epik as an escrow/payment processor for the first time.

Small transaction, with a trusted namePros member, for multiple domains, purchased via nP agreement, and set up a single epik transaction for payment, while I pushed the remaining domains.

Balance immediately showed in my MasterBucks account. And I initiated a PayPal payout. (still waiting for paypal to hit)

While I await the PayPal payout, I'm anxious to see how Epik processes my PayPal payout, in that, will I incur an additional payout fee from PayPal, or will it be sent in a friends and family and the 9% masterbucks fee is the total fee?

There's probably more to this than I'm thinking, but wouldn't it make sense for Epik to option release of PayPal service fee based payouts quicker (as they're backed by PayPal meaning less security checks, and a faster payout can be trusted given dispute option) than a friends and family payout with less dispute options?

I say this, as there are times I want quick payment. And that's why PayPal is my preferred option. However, if Epik were to option expedite quicker payouts, maybe with the corresponding PayPal fee to minimize expedited risk, I'd consider.Epik escrow as a viable PayPal alternative to all my nP transactions. Additionally, in times when payout is not needed quickly, I feel better knowing my fee's are going to Epik, instead of PayPal.

Hello Grilled,

Did you change your profile picture ?
Congrats on your sale and thanks for using Epik escrow :)
There are no withdrawal fees on top of the escrow fee, the cashout speed doesn't influence it neither
PayPal fees paid by Epik (but not in Friends & Family for added security ;) )
In case the members involved in the transactions are all trusted, the funds are typically expedited quickly.

Good questions. I would like to know the exact timeline and payout options for future use.

(initiated) MasterBucks Payout email received at 2:28 AM (on a Sunday).

PayPal email confirming funds received at 4:47 PM (same day).

I received the entire payout requested from my masterbucks. Confirming a total 9% fee.

Noted* This is a nice channel for a seller to accept crypto without the need of a wallet, and the buyer to receive an epik registered domain immediately upon payment.

Full disclosure, I had DM'd @Gube as I was in a small time bind. And the payout was expedited very quickly thereafter and before the normal channels (accounting) per expedited request. ๐Ÿ™

Question: how frequently do you send those whois check your details? Everywhere else I get it once a year per domain. Since bringing names to Epik,I get a number of these PER DAY. It seems excessive.

We send one domain per year but should review with engineering about sending bundled notices where the same WHOIS pattern exists.
