Developing WIIGaming.eu? Good choice or bad choice?

I'm having ideas to develop wiigaming.eu into a blog but i am concerned if i would put my efforts into this it may be all for nothing regarding potential trademark issues.

What should i do?
I know there are people having Nintendo keyword included domains and having their websites up for quite a while and they are being left alone by Nintendo but would above domain be any different?

It all depends on Nintendo.... only they know what they think. Game sites have been left alone because it helps the gaming company in the long run. But this does not mean they cannot go after you. So if you have the name, develop it right away (and the correct way) and hope for the best.

With any TM domain, you always run the risk of censure.. it's up to you if you want to take the risk. Be aware that if you profit in any way, they can recover any profits you may have made, even after the domain has been sold.

Thanks for the responses guys! Developing the domain and then afterwards having to give it up would be very dissapointing and in conjunction with even having to pay back any possible profits is the main factor for me not pursuing development of this domain.

Even though it would be fun there is still costs involved and a potential profit factor is required for my time and effort.

So it appears this would for me be a no go project then.
I just don't want to take the risk.

If you search the WIPO site you can find Nintendo going after names. From my experience those names are normally used in bad faith such as parking. I believe Nintendo is happy with fan sites that make a clear attempt to be a fan site.

I am a pro at gaming domains and development. If you want a partner...let me know. I have sold many gaming sites for $xxxx that were Nintendo related (i.e. animalcrossingwildworld.com and nintendog.com). I also have a large gaming network.

Not sure where this was even said in the thread, but you are correct, you cannot copyright a domain name, but it can trademarked which is what we are talking about.
