DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

Good morning all,

@twiki, please be advised that we invest heavily in account managers following up on your transactions by phone and email. However, as a seller, you are always free to notify us that the transaction has to be terminated even within less than a week. We will keep you posted and without any notification from the seller's end proceed with our follow-ups.

Also, we have mentioned several times before that we are working on getting our team expanded internationally. However, we do want to maintain our quality and have to train our newest additions thoroughly. Our newest colleague Michael is being trained as we speak and will be operating at US hours soon. @twiki, I understand that trust is a key player within our industry and since the release of our new For Sale pages we have seen a steep increase in direct payments. In addition, as you can see from our Trustpilot reviews, the vast majority of users leave us a 5-star review which inspires trust with new users. Lastly, the US support provided will most certainly help increase this as well.

Have a great day!

@DAN.COM please make an option for uploading own logos for domains. and add categories or hash tags..

Thank you
Good morning @BrandCollectors.com,

It is already possible to upload your own Logos. Simply visit your portfolio section, find the domain, and hit the "edit" button in the upper left window. This section allows you to add a logo. The request for creating categories or hashtags has been forwarded to our product team.

Have a great day.

Very good news!

Thank you! As you say, this will be very beneficial for the domain industry. And it will also improve Dan.com! As soon as you show your domain sales, more people will be willing to use Dan.com!

It's very important and valuable to know the end user domain sales, and not just the auction sales at reseller price reported at namebio, in order to have a more serious figure about the real end user prices.

So, very good news today, because along this announcement, it looks that Godaddy also finally will report their domain sales again!

Thanks Dan.com, this is definitely very important to have a better idea of end user sales, as you are also a very big sales platform!

So what exactly do I select here?

Yeah, that does feel a bit cumbersome.

Perhaps with a few small changes (English version): :xf.smile:

Publish your sales or keep them private?

By enabling this option we will NOT publish or share your sales on our public marketplace pages (like our homepage and blockchain explorer) or to any third parties.

It is not clear if the privacy is ON or OFF by default.

Does sales publication require consent of both buyer and seller?

At what point is sale published - agree to buy, payment by buyer, completion of transfer to new owner, payment to seller completed, completion of payment plan?

Does it mean we will start seeing how much was the domain sold for in dan's homepage/namebio?

Yeah, that is confusing. I think it should be reworded in a more direct, clear manner.

Something like -

"Would you like to publish your sales?"

YES.
NO.

Also, what does publishing sales actually mean in this case? How are they published?

The currently ambiguous settings for this at Dan.com settings say "we will not publish or share your sales on our marketplace (our public pages like our homepage and blockchain explorer) or to any third parties."

But there is another case where sales are displayed - mentioned in this earlier post:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/da...-official-thread.1148567/page-30#post-7577607

Wouldn't it make sense to email all Dan.com account holders about any such changes, especially if default settings are changing in the background?

Default setting is off. If you want to share your sales data, then you will have to go into your settings to enable it.

So, the final decision to share still lies with the domainer

https://www.namepros.com/threads/da...-official-thread.1148567/page-30#post-7577607

Example: https://dan.com/buy-domain/parallelmarket.com - sale being made public a month after transaction, probably permanently.

Seller was ok with publishing sale at https://www.namepros.com/threads/report-completed-domain-name-sales-here.83628/page-794#post-7770204 - name now directs to plural version - nameservers are not set to Dan.com or Undeveloped.com.

Second Example: Plantcy.com and https://dan.com/buy-domain/plantcy.com

If domain had been listed at fixed price or make offer price expectation, you may be able to find that price in Google cache or at Archive.org, or on another platform.

Good morning all,

Thank you for your feedback.

The wording is being changed as we speak. Besides, the default for all sellers is the same as it was. Every sale was being displayed in the BlockChain explorer for example. As a seller, you can now deactivate the publishing of it by checking the checker box.

@carob, what you are referring to is a simple landing page showing the domain is no longer available. It is needed to manage expectations and does not serve as the publishing of sales. If the new user does not change the nameservers upon receiving the domain the landing page remains of course.

Have a great day all.

Sorry to ask a newbie (DAN) question, but I just moving my landers to DAN and did not see this in the help section. Is there a charge for a bank transfer or a PayPal transaction? Meaning, will banks typically charge to receive the money and does PayPal charge their fee if you get paid using PayPal?

Thanks in advance!

Good morning @domainicate,

Great to have you on board with us.

We cover all fees on our end when it comes to payouts. However, we do not control any charges made by your bank or your intermediary bank.

Have a great weekend.
