8 is "八" in chinese ,"八" pronounced as "發" in chinese ,"發" means "rich / will be rich / can get so much money"

1 , 2 = "易" = easy
3 = "生" = living ,live ,real ,produce , generate
4 = "死" = Dead

Yea, it's a pretty ballsy investment! ...But, even if they sell for $100 each, they'll gross $37k. If anything those domains are easily liquid in this market, and based on comparable sales, it wasn't all that risky.

The person who regged all of those domains was smart, and they have $3k to invest (+-$500 depending on registrar).
