I happened to speak with some of the crypto and domain name investors.
Here is something they are doing :
While crypto started booming, they sold a part of their domain portfolio and bought some crypto out of the money generated.
Traded crypto, made some money and took out 50% of the investment and reinvested into domain names.
The other 50% of crypto portfolio was divided equally into long term holds and short term trading.
The money generated from trading the crypto on short term is half invested into domain names and the other half into crypto itself.
Sounds like a good technique.
