When contacting a enduser is it best to email the Advertisement department or Marketing Department? All I have is access to the Advertisement Department. What do you suggest?

There's nothing "scary" about contacting end-users with a legitimate B2B offer. It's a normal course of business that occurs everyday.

E-mail marketers can send unsolicited commercial e-mail as long as it adheres to the 3 basic types of compliance: unsubscribe, content and sending behavior.

The CAN-SPAM bill was enacted to discourage, police and prosecute the most egregious of spammers.

As long as you adhere to the basic content compliance policies, sending a well-crafted and genuine business correspondence does not fall under the purview of CAN-SPAM.

Make sure your message DOES:

- Have an accurate from line
- Have a relevant subject line (relative to offer in body content and not deceptive)
- Contain a legitimate physical address and contact info.

Make sure your message DOES NOT:
- Contain a false header
- Get sent to harvested email addresses

The policies are very clear and easy to follow. It requires a lot more work - and exposes you to unnecessary risk - to avoid them.

Great points, I sent my emails to many potential end users. Got a reply from one, it was the reverse, the company wanted to sell me "work from home business" and actually called my cell phone. So no sell for me, but I am looking at their "secret to financial success" video and book now.

I am thinking of calling companies now, since I believe my emails did not get through. Any tips on calling? How to make it not spam like and useful?
