Congratulations! Your Premium Listings domain has sold!

Domain: ******************.com
Date Sold: 2011-Mar-07
Listing Price: $ 395.00
Commission: 30%

For the very first time I used GoDaddy's premium listing to sell a domain name to an end user. Commission is 30% but the good news is that I only paid $7.66 US for it. Reg Fee!

Those of you who argue the commission is to high and that you will never use their service are loosing out. No matter what the commission is at end of the day, GoDaddy is the largest registrar with the most traffic!!! which will result in more sales!

Congrats.

Just curious but how long did it take to sell?

It's instant, the second the buyer pays for the domain name, its like registering a reg fee domain name, its transferred out of my account into the end users account.

I registered the domain 48 hours ago for $7.66 US and sold it today :)

So you should try to repeat the process and see if you get more sales.

Had my first two GoDaddy Premium Listing sales recently, myself! It takes a long time to get paid (end of current month + 45 days), but it's always a nice surprise. The day I received my cheque for the first sale (mid $x,xxx) I sold another one (low $x,xxx).

Strange that after 2 years of nothing at GoDaddy I sold two within a short period of time.

No fees and you can set your listing to auto-renew every 30 days. Of course, GoDaddy takes a 30% cut if it sells.

Congrats Hope. Nice one. Wish we could all do that. You must have had an insight it was going to sell though, with a long name like that.

The trick with Godaddy is not to forget you have the name listed there. If you post it at another auction or have developed it and raised its value, the name can disappear the second someone buys it.

its a long domain and perfect match for the end user i targeted.

When you say you targeted the end user, are you prospecting for end users and sending them to your premium godaddy listing?

That would not make much sense given the high commissions.

When you find an end user, you have 1 option for quick payment and its paypal, but from my experience the option of using paypal as a payment option for the buyer seems to turn off buyers and result in 0 sales. I've had several loses in the last 12 months due to using paypal to invoice.

By using GoDaddy's premium listing not only do I raise my chances in selling a domain name but also assure the buyer that the domain is instantly transferred to him when he pays the premium price.

I don't loose 30%! I gain a profit of $268US, my cost is $7.66 US!

I purchase reg fee domains on a monthly basis and target end users who either don't have a marketing team or their current marketing team is not aware of their marketing error, starting with the domain name!

Thank you kindly to all who took the time to post a congrats tag, hope this thread sheds light on everyone's domain name and you wake up with a message in your email box that reads:

Congratulations! Your Premium Listings domain has sold!
