It's amazing when some people advice not to spend xxx for 100 strong keyword ngTLD and ccTLD, but advice to buy One super puper triple premium .com for x.xxx figures and hire a broker or sell it to some sort of "unique end buyer".

It's easy to count. In any extension(ccTLD) value have at least 10k single word and perhaps 100k word combinations. Look at Google.

All other names have no future. 90% of domains with websites have hand-regged domains, with no sense. You cannot sell anything to them. They will not pay.

Future have unique, memorable, readable domains with Sense. That's all.

However reading into stats the decline in dot com registration per dollars spent certainly does not indicate com has no future but a solid leader.
We can graph dot com to be losing and we can graph it to be winning. Stats can be manipulated to show anything. Sensationalizing your post has actually lead to an inaccuracy in result and got you a whole lot of dislikes bummer eh.

they may not know the official meaning of .com but they know for sure that everything that ends with .com it is a website on the internet. That is more than enough.

99% of the .com domains that most end users want are in the hands of 1% of domainers. So, most domainers should hope that there is a shift away from .com's in the future otherwise, domaining is just a waste of time because all the real money making domains are in the hands of a few top domainers.
