Hi,
I am planning to buy a .COM.AU domain from somebody who has it registered at melbournit.com.au
I just rang melbourneit.com.au and asked them how much it costs to transfer ownership if I keep the domain with them, and they said it would be AUD$339, which includes an extra 2 years of registration.
Anyway, I was wondering if I could somehow transfer ownership of the domain in conjunction with a registrar transfer? I want to have the domain at a cheaper registrar any way.
Does anybody have any experience in how to handle the transfers (ownership and registrar) the most economically?
Also, any registrars you suggest for doing this? I used name.com.au recently to register a domain for a client, which worked ok, but not sure how they would handle something more complicated like a registrar/ownership transfer.
Thanks in advance
