Does anyone know how much Omnis charges to transfer ownership of a domain ?

I have been trying to get them to answer that question for 2 days now. No response to 3 emails.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks

If you are transferring out, it should not cost you anything. If you are transferring in, the fee is $7.95 which includes an extra year.

I don't know if they have a fee for ownership transfers. If they do, or it's a hassle to change ownership within Omnis, you can try transferring the domain to another registrar as .edu suggested. Then you can change ownership once at the new registrar.

Thank you both.
Here is a direct quote from their registration agreement:

>>>The new domain owner must also pay a transfer of registration fee.<<<

I have no idea what that amount would be, and I still have no answer from Omnis.

It should be approximately the same as the registration fee.

That is rediculous! I will make sure to avoid Omnis.

Yeah - I'm going to stop using them. I have about 50 names with them.

Still no reply to my inquiries.

Oh, I hope you don't go with everyone advertising on websites you go to!

Anyway, have you been able to find out anything else about that *additional* transfer fee they listed?

It might be easier to transfer to another registrar instead of trying to figure out their internal transfer policy

Thanks for the moral support guys.

No - I still have had no reply.

Time to send a "stronger" followup and to let them know I have not used them since my initial unanswered mail.
