No one seems to care about any other names except CHIPS?

I am not a CHIPS person as I cannot predict the trend of chips in the future so I stick with what I know well for the moment (So I can sleep at night!!!)

Just sold an LLL .us yesterday on Afternic for $1,000 after listing here and no one wants to offer even $50 but I can sleep at night with my non chips.

Beside with chips crazy pricing it would take a lot of money to invest so I stay out for now.

Yeah I noticed that as well. However, those results as mentioned were from Namescon's live auction and I can say with almost all likelihood you would not get those kind of prices here or even close. Maybe it was due to a feelgood factor at namescon or whatever.

Names like ngrt.com, cmfr.com etc. I doubt would get $2.1/2.2k here if put up for sale or much more at godaddy, sedo etc. Even the others that went for $3k i've seen lately at auction houses go for around $2.5k or less such as:

From the tracking i've been doing most names are selling between $1950-2150 at auction right now with some sales flying at 2.5k/$3k+ for whatever reason. When you take away 15-20% commission from godaddy/namejet etc. it's not surprising people are struggling right now to sell for anything over $1900 or so.

It's a bad time to sell now IMO, unless it's a premium which are doing well currently or you just have an auction that first and two two really like etc.

I've bought and sold LLLL.com domains for more than 15 years like many other NP members here. From 2005-2010, my lowest price to sell ANY LLLL.com was $1500, and that was for very few. From 2010-2013, my lowest price to sell ANY LLLL.com was $3500. In 2014, I increased my minimum sale price to $5000. Currently (January 2015 to present), my minimum price is $6500 and I have sold several. When an established business or a Chinese buyer really wants a certain domain, they will pay $10,000+ without hesitation when there is firm negotiation by the seller.

I did not have many Chinese Prems, as I was never fan of K,Q,X etc. in consonant only setting. As with many western domain investors, some of my names turned out to be also chinese ) I sold ryns.com and swtd.com a month ago and now have only 1 left, dnmz (DomainNameMarketZone) that I am not planning to sell. Most of my 150+ LLLLs are pronounceable ones, western prems and/or meaningful abbreviations.

What extensions are we talking about here? Reg fee plays are relatively low risk (depending on how deep you get in) as long as you don't drag it along come renewal time if buyers don't show (little to no ROI).
