I just got to know that CASINO.ONLINE gTLD domain sold for $201,250 on 2017-03-22 at Sedo
sales link: https://namebio.com/casino.online

Please share your views on gTLD industries.

I think gTLD truly making its ground slowly slowly towards nice growth.

seems like the germans are using the word online a lot

Yeah I noticed lots of sales with the word "online" in .de domain sales as well as german word + online in .com sales. So I've grabbed some good German Word .online domains as well... in case my theory is correct :)

Maybe @frank-germany can shed some light here? :)

My views are:

This is an incredible sale but please bear in mind this is absolutely one of if not the best .online domains you can buy. I tried to get it when .online was released but of course it wasn't available, which bring me onto my next point.

If domainiq is correct this domain was not sold by a domainer but by the Radix registry themselves as it shows them as being the owner in 2015 and doesn't show any other owner since that date, so unless i'm missing something yet again another massive sale to the registry not the domainer i.e. middle man.

Whenever there is a good nGTLD sale, we have the nGTLD haters who start getting stressed...
You will see... :xf.smile:

That could be the case :)

As far as i'm concerned this is one of, if not the best .online out there and indeed I tried to get it when .online first came out, but surprise surprise it was unavailable.

Top name, great price is the bottom line.

It looks like Radix sold it if domainiq is correct, can't blame them for holding back the best but from a domaining perspective it is irritating to not have a chance of getting this name in the first place.

its not about stress... ngtld lovers get excited with this sale.. and ngtld haters (not me) play it down.. all this is only natural...

the neutral people will simply inform you that you cannot take the best possible super premium keyword which is casino and match it perfectly fitting extension which is .online... and then pretend there is some conclusions or connection to be drawn from this top keyword sale and the entire ngtld industry and its future.

in short, whichever way ngtld industry will go in next say 10 years, will have exactly nothing to do with this sale. ;)

cheers

I believe what is more important than the sale itself is : an end user seeing the value in the domain. It also presents better than
CANSINOONLINE. ANY EXTENSION
Happy Hunting
