Anyone else have this happen to you? Over the last few months I've placed at least 20 offers on names(not lowball) and not once have I received a response.

What gives?

Not sure, but feel free to make some offers on mine parked there ;)

I've sold over 20 names on sedo in the past 3 mos. So the offers do go through to the owners.

On a more serious note, I agree, I just sold one there too.

The escrow process was a headache, but it got done -- cash in my hands, finally, today.

Curious for those that sold on Sedo, did you use their feature listings? I am wondering if it helps. They are running a special now so nows as good a time as any to try.

Many thanks,

I bought one. For me, it increased views to the domain dramatically (160 or so hits) but resulted in no offers. At least not yet.

That's not bad. could you mind telling me how many domains you have listed on sedo? :tri:

One of the reasons is that some domains listed in Sedo are not updated.
If you sold in other places and transfered them , Sedo still not update them for a while.
Another reason is that the seller even not interested to respond to your offer , maybe
not lowball for u is very cheap for them.

I've had 350+ listed on Sedo for a few months now - never had an offer!!!
They're not parked there, just listed for sale.

I put them at minimum $50 offer.

I sell plenty of names elsewhere so can't understand why no offers

I reckon its better to list on smaller sites , maybe as Afternic, tdnam, urbandata ... Sedo is filled up with a lot of domains....

I have noticed too that some name owners don't seem to receive the offers from Sedo... it happens quite often from my experience.

Yesterday someone offered $100 for pcwebtalk.com, just renewal costs and sedo featured listings cost that. I asked for $200 the buyer just closed the negotion. Meh!

I have sold 2 domain names through SEDO so far, without using any featured listings! If your domain is wanted the buyer will find it himself and will make you an offer!
Is ordering a featured listing just a waste of money? Depends on the domain name you are willing to feature and on the market in general!

I dont think that featured listing is of any USE ...... I have been observing domains listed there for some time, most of them arent sold. The only advantage you have is keeping it on the front page.

I've had better success selling domains at domain forums and directly contacting prospective buyers.

I just made my first attempt to sell a couple domains to some end users and got precisely 0 response. _\|/_ Then again, I only contacted 10 people and of course it's a numbers game. But it would've been nice if someone had said "yes please!"

Devil_Dog, you could always try contacting the owner directly through their whois info if it is available.

Fonzie, thats a better idea to sell opf domains. But not ones with vey high value.

You have much to learn achacko. Contacting end users directly is generally the best way to reap high $ sales. Moreover, there are big fish in the sea here (at NP and other domain forums) who have plenty of money to spend on domains.
